Stress Tests
Cardiac Stress Tests are performed for detection of coronary artery disease and also to help evaluate functional capacity of patients, with a licensed provider in attendance, ACLS certified nurse and certified nuclear technician. There is a focus on risk factors for heart attack with appropriate follow-up and education.
Preparation
Patients should be knowledgeable and well prepared by their health care physician or advanced practice provider for the specific test ordered, i.e., NPO status, possible need for IV start, what medications to take.
