SCU

The Special Care Unit is a 6-bed inpatient unit that provides acute care services for critically ill patients. SCU patients receive intensive monitoring and treatment for a wide range of serious conditions, using state-of-the-art ventilators, code carts, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.

Expert, Credentialed Staff

All SCU staff are certified in BLS, PALS, and ACLS and trained in electrocardioversion, temporary pacemakers, use of nitrates, thrombolytic therapies, oximetry monitoring, and cardiac arrest response.

SCU provides high standards of care with the utmost regard to patient safety and comfort. Individualized care plans are created for every patient, with full respect for patient privacy and confidentiality.
