Billing & Insurance

We work with most major insurance providers to ensure you receive the care you need. Our billing team is here to help you understand your coverage and payment options.

General Information

We want your stay at RFGH to be as comfortable as possible and encourage you to ask questions or let us know if there is anything more we can do for you. We are available to explain the billing and payment procedures, to ensure the billing and payments are handled properly, and to help you with any questions or concerns.

Insurance

If you have one insurance policy, the insurance company may pay the bill in full. In this case, you may not receive a statement from us. If, for any reason, your insurance company does not pay the balance in full, we will send you a statement for the remaining balance.

Two Insurances

If you have two insurance companies, the second insurance may pay the remaining balance. In this case, you may not receive a statement from us. If, for any reason, both insurance companies do not pay the balance in full, a statement will be sent to you after payment by the second insurance. Payment is due upon receipt of your statement.

Coverage

If you have questions about what your insurance covers or deductibles, please call your insurance company.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available. A sliding fee schedule for payment for services based on family size and income is available to those who qualify. Read our financial assistance policy or view and print an application. You can also view the list of providers covered under the financial assistance policy.

If you need to make special payment arrangements, please contact us.

Additional Bills

In addition to statements from RFGH, you may receive statements or bills from other providers or specialists.

Where can I pay my bill?

  • Payment may be made over the phone with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
  • Payment can be processed online through our payment portal.
  • You may pay your bill in person at our Business Office cashier's window, located at 22 Jones Street.
  • There is also a payment drop box located beside the front door of the Business Office, for after-hours payment drop off.
  • You may make cash or check payments at the switchboard in the hospital.

Payment Information

No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay.

If you are unable to pay your bill in full, please contact the Patient Accounts Department to discuss your options. We will work with you to set up a payment plan. You may be eligible for Free Care or Partial Free Care. Free Care eligibility is based on guidelines established by the Department of Health and Human Services.
