Price Transparency
Redington-Fairview General Hospital Supports Price Transparency
Beginning January 1, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) enacted new rules that require hospitals’ standard charges, including the rates they negotiate with insurance companies and the discounted price a hospital is willing to accept directly from a patient if paid in cash, must be publicly available and presented in a consumer-friendly display. Hospitals must post standard charges for at least 300 shoppable services that can be planned in advance.
The links below contain a list of shoppable services for at least 300 services and standard charges for all items and services provided by Redington-Fairview General Hospital and all associated Medical offices. Please note procedure costs may vary based on your specific circumstance including insurance status, length of time spent in the hospital, additional tests or procedures ordered by your physician, or any other unforeseen circumstances to provide you with the best care we can provide. There may be multiple procedures associated with any one of the listed medical services that we provide and there may be additional items that need to be included such as supplies, drugs or other items as the overall price of your visit or procedure. Therefore, to obtain a more accurate Estimate of expected costs associated with a visit or procedure, please contact Data Processing department at 207-474-5121 ext. 8318.
