Emergency Department

The Emergency Department is seeing a CNA/UC to support a busy multi-disciplinary team. This person must have the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines. Patient centered focus is imperative.

Status: Full time, 36-hours, 3-12 hour shifts, 11a-11p with every other weekend coverage

Laboratory

The Chemistry Supervisor will be trained in all areas of the laboratory including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank and phlebotomy. This person will oversee day-to-day operations of our chemistry department. The person in this position will maintain, troubleshoot, and manage the quality assurance of our chemistry instrumentation. The Chemistry Supervisor will also oversee chemistry quality control, train students/new hires, maintain department reagent inventory levels, assess staff competency, and assure chemistry policies and procedures are up to date.

Status: Full time 40 hours to include every third weekend holiday

Requirements: AS/BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent. MT/MLS ASCP or equivalent and two years chemistry experience preferred.

EMT
EMS

RFGH is seeking EMT at all levels of training. The EMT performs under the direction of the Director of EMS according to the scope and limits of Maine EMS licensure, responds to calls for emergency care, transfer, routine facility-to-facility transport, community disaster, and participates in educational and public relations events.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: This successful candidate must meet automotive insurability standards and must be able to work well in a fast-paced EMS environment.

Requirements: Must have current BCLS,
Maine driver's license in good standing as determined by RFGH insurance carrier

Endoscopy

The endoscopy department is seeking a self motivated and enthusiastic endoscopy aide. The endoscopy aide participates as a member of the endoscopy team by preforming housekeeping tasks, cleaning of equipment and clerical duties as assigned.

Status: Per-diem. No weekends, no holidays.

Qualities: Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Must have great attention to detail and adhere to all infection control policies.

Requirements: No clinical certification required. On the job training will be provided for specific skills for the right candidate.

Administration

Administration seeks a full-time, salaried Executive Assistant to join the team. The Executive Assistant shall be responsible for day to day office and clerical duties, coordination of the Chief Executive Officer’s itinerary, scheduling of meetings and assisting the CFO as requested. In addition, responsibilities include efficiency and productivity for office procedures, assistance and/or cross-coverage for the Financial Analyst as necessary. The Executive Assistant is the point of contact for all locum tenens needs and is responsible for facilitating coverage while working with multiple locum tenens agencies, arranging housing, and reviews and processes locum tenens invoices for accuracy. Works directly with the immigration law firm to assist in the preparation of J1 Visa applications.

Requirements: Must have two years of college or business education, or at least five years of experience as an administrative assistant or office manager. Human Resources

Health Screeners are the first point of contact for employees, patients, visitors, and vendors at the RFGH entrances. Health Screeners provide a warm greeting, perform a digital temperature screening, and ask health questions to all entrants in order to help ensure the health and safety of those present at RFGH.

Status: Part time, 24 hours 11p-7a, every other weekend

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Experience in a clinical setting or hospital environment preferred.

Enviromental Services
RFGH is seeking two Housekeepers who will be responsible for keeping assigned areas clean, sanitary, and aseptic by scouring, above shoulder dusting, mopping, using germicides, and wet dusting. Successful candidate will clean patient rooms, public areas, clinical, and office areas. Removes solid, bio-hazardous and recyclable waste. Performs other related housekeeping duties such as wall washing, dusting air vents, ceiling light fixtures and glass cleaning. Keeps work station and equipment neat and clean

Status: Full time, 40 hours 6am-2:30pm, every other weekend

Qualities: Must work well independently with some supervision

Requirements: High school education or equivalent required. Experience in institutional housekeeping preferred but willing to train the right person. Must be available to work holidays.
Environmental Services

Information Technology

Responsibilities include daily support of all end user technology, working with problem tickets and when needed, escalation to the appropriate internal and/or external parties. Need to be able to provide assistance for employees with software and hardware (printers, scanners, PCs, mobile devices) issues. Provide daily support of data center technologies to include servers, networking equipment, wireless and storage. Also, 2nd level support for help desk technicians.

Knowledge (but not limited to):

· Basic networking; Cisco networking desired.

· Microsoft Technologies. Operating Systems, Office, Exchange, SQL.

· Virtualization. (VMware and Citrix).

· Data Cabling (copper and fiber).

· Backup and Disaster Recovery.

· Project Management.

· Willingness and ability to learn is critical. This is the most important trait to have.

Status: Full time, 40 hours, Day shift with start time flexibility. Work from home is available when needed with manager approval. This position is salary/exempt. Must be willing to work occasional overtime as required to meet the needs of the department/organization and available as a resource to on-call staff.

Qualities: Must have excellent communication and customer service skills and be experienced in supporting end users in person, by email, remotely and by phone. Teamwork is critical as well as assisting with projects outside of assigned responsibilities.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required with all previous education, certifications and experience taken into account. There will be an opportunity to obtain IT training and/or certifications. This position includes tuition reimbursement/loan forgiveness. RMPC

The RMPC Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the physician and the Office Manager to support exceptional patient centered care.

Status: Full time, 40 hours M-F

Qualities: Good interpersonal and organizational skills required. Previous medical office experience is desirable. Must be able to multi task and have computer and typing skills

Requirements: Medical Assistant Certification required. Associate Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.

Skowhegan Family Medicine
The SFM Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the physician and the Office Manager. The Medical Assistant is expected to know all of the functions of the office procedures and protocols for SFM

Status: Full time, 40 Hours, 7:15-4:30 M-Th, 7:15-12:15 Fr

Qualities: Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills required. Previous medical office experience is desirable. Must be able to multi task and have computer and typing skills

Requirements: Associate Degree in Medical Assistant preferred. Medical Assistant Certification required. High School graduate and Medical terminology required

RMPC

The Medical Secretary supports the front office operations of several busy practices as assigned under the direction of the Practice Manager.

Status: Full time, 40 hours

Qualities: The successful candidate will have flexibility, excellent customer service skills and be team oriented.

Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Basic typing and computer knowledge and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred. Strong computer skill necessary.

Nursing

This position includes one-on-one observation of at-risk patients. This is a hands-off position and there is no expectation to do patient care. All patient needs/changes are observed and reported to nursing staff. Patient Observers work under direction of nursing.

Status: Per Diem, 11p-7a

Qualities: Patient centered ability to effectively communicate with a multidisciplinary team are required.

Requirements: Health care experience preferred but not necessary. Excellent communication skills are required.

Laboratory

The Laboratory Department Phlebotomy/EKG Technician staff will be competent to perform all diagnostic procedures, as assigned and must be able to demonstrate consistent competence to perform the skills required

Status: Full time, 40 hour evening position for (5) 8 hour shifts per week which includes weekend and holiday rotation coverage.

Qualities: An ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.

Requirements: High School Diploma. Certificate from accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.

Rehab Services
Redington-Fairview General Hospital’s Rehab & Fitness Services is looking for three Maine licensed Physical Therapists to join our team in providing high quality evaluations and treatments in a busy, well-equipped (including two pools) multi-disciplinary outpatient clinic and inpatient/acute care unit. Experience and/or willingness to be trained for pediatric intervention is required. Status: Full time, 40 hours M–F, with occasional weekend acute care coverage on a team rotation basis. Schedule flexibility provided.

Qualities: Patient Centered approach to care working to meet patient goals is essential in this role.

Requirements: Experience and/or solid EMR documentation skills a must. Current Maine PT license required. New grads welcome; will train accordingly.
Plant Operations

The RFGH Plumber must have knowledge in steam, heating, chilled water, sewer, potable water and medical gas systems as well as the ability to repair these systems and their components as needed. Must have the willingness to provide general maintenance tasks as the need arises.

Status: Full time 40 hours with on call rotation

Qualities: Must have energetic work ethic, great communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements: Must hold a valid journeyman and/or master state of Maine plumbing license. High pressure boiler operator license required within 1 year of employment. Basic computer skills required. Experience in healthcare and a graduate of a trade/vocational school is preferred.

The Emergency Department Registrar works directly with patients, obtaining consents and completing required forms as mandated by state and federal regulations. The ED Registrar assists patients with handling clerical problems and resolving any issues such as incorrect identification.

Respiratory

The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing various therapeutic and diagnostic modalities as well as patient education and participation in quality assurance surveys. One to two years of experience with blood gas skills preferred. Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as well as 12 hour call rotations for coverage and transports required.

Status: Full-time, 36 hours

Qualities: Ability to work independently in emergency situations

Requirements: State of Maine Respiratory Therapy license and RRT required; BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP required, or able to obtain within an allotted amount of time.

Switchboard

The Switchboard Operator shall maintain coverage of Switchboard by answering all incoming calls, code blue phone, and the beepers, must act in a professional manner, be neat appearing, tactful and friendly at all times when on duty, as they are the communication center and receptionist for the entire hospital

Status: Per Diem

Qualities: Solid Communication skills, accuracy and reasoning skills are required. Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple duties is essential.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Computer experience is required.

Health Record Services

Health Record Services has a full time opening for a Transcription Coordinator/Documentation Specialist. This applicant will be responsible for maintenance of the dictation and transcription systems, coordinating the duties of all transcription services, coordinating the timely and accurate production of all transcribed medical reports, ensuring adherence to industry quality standards, and providing education, orientation and technical support for all users of the system. Documentation Specialist duties include auditing various encounter records for compliance with regulatory documentation requirements.

Status: Full time, M-F with remote system access for off hour support.

Qualities: Strong attention to detail and work ethic are essential

Requirements: Transcription/Health information technology degree and/or at least 5 years of work experience in transcription. AHDI Membership encouraged, but not required

Nursing Opportunities

Nursing Administration
The position offers the opportunity to led operations of a busy community hospital. Must be skilled in communication and relationship management, and have knowledge of the healthcare environment. Must be able to lead and direct, gain the trust and respect of others, and promote teamwork. This position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Status: Part Time, 12 hour day shifts, every other weekend with the opportunity for an additional 4 hours from 3pm to 7pm during the weekdays, preferably able to work 16 hours a week.

Qualities: The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, flexibility and demonstrate the ability to work as a team.

Requirements: RN with 5 years of hospital experience, BSN preferred. MOAB, ACLS, BLS & NRP (will train) certifications required. Current Maine RN license required.

Emergency Department

The Emergency Department Charge nurse is responsible for the smooth functioning of the department and its needs by using independent judgement to assign staff and direct the team to achieve high quality patient care outcomes.

Status: Full time, 36 hours 6pm-6am, includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualities: This vibrant and forward-thinking RN will possess strong leadership, critical thinking, flexibility and communication skills. The ability to work independently but also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient-centered care is a must.

RMPC
