General

Laboratory

The blood bank/coagulation supervisor will be trained in all areas of the laboratory including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, coagulation and phlebotomy. The person in this position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the blood bank including blood product inventory management, staff training and competency assessment, monitoring of patient testing, transfusions in addition to keeping blood bank policies and procedures up to date.

Status: Full time, 40 hours, days with weekend and holiday rotation

Requirements: AS/BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent. MT/MLS/ASCP or equivalent and two years blood bank experience preferred.


Med/Surg

The Med-Surg CNA-Tech/UC works to support a busy multi-disciplinary team. This person must have the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines. The CNA-Tech/UC will provide support clinically and clerically.

Status: Full time, night shift 36 hours per week 6p-6a

The RMPC Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the physician and the Office Manager to support exceptional patient centered care.

Radiology

Radiology

Status: Full time, 32hrs- Will include 16 hrs as a Nuclear Tech and 16 hrs in one other modality (CAT scan, X-Ray or Mammography) on call, weekend rotation and rotating holiday responsibilities are required

Radiology

Under the supervision of the Chief Technologist and the direction of the Radiologist(s), the Staff Technologist shall perform a variety of radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnoses and clinical assessment. The Staff Technologist shall assume responsibility for designated areas and/or procedures, must have adaptability and willingness to cross-train into at least one other modality is encouraged, must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams on patients of all age groups, and must be knowledgeable about developmental needs over the age span and where appropriate are knowledgeable about the use of age related equipment.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: Patient centered team approach to care is imperative.

Requirements: Must be a graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology program. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and maintain current active status. Must hold a current Maine State license for radiology Technology. BLS required. Previous experience is desirable.


Respiratory

The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing various therapeutic and diagnostic modalities as well as patient education and participation in quality assurance surveys. One to two years of experience with blood gas skills preferred. Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as well as 12 hour call rotations for coverage and transports required.

Status: Full-time, 36 hours

Qualities: Ability to work independently in emergency situations

Requirements: State of Maine Respiratory Therapy license and RRT required; BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP required, or able to obtain within an allotted amount of time.

Switchboard

The Switchboard Operator shall maintain coverage of Switchboard by answering all incoming calls, code blue phone, and the beepers, must act in a professional manner, be neat appearing, tactful and friendly at all times when on duty, as they are the communication center and receptionist for the entire hospital

Status: Per Diem, available to fill all shifts

Qualities: Solid Communication skills, accuracy and reasoning skills are required. Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple duties is essential.


Ultrasound

Under the direction of the Radiologist, performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and communicates results, completes examinations according to prescribed procedures using independent judgment in the utilization of ultrasonic equipment for medical diagnoses, is responsible for daily operations of the department, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures and quality assessment, must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams on patients of all age groups, and must be knowledgeable about developmental needs over the age span and where appropriate are knowledgeable about age related equipment.

Status: per diem

Qualities: Patient centered care and attention to detail are required

Requirements: Must have a high school education and be a Registered Radiologic Technologist with previous Ultrasound experience or Previous Ultrasound experience or hold the ARDMS Registry for Ultrasound. or Be a graduate from an 'Approved Accredited Ultrasound School', holding the Physics component of the ARDMS registry-and eligible to take a 'specialty' within 1 year of graduation for completion of ARDMS credentials. However, we strongly encourage the completion of the ARDMS credentials within the first 6 to 9 months of employment. BLS

RFGH

Redington-Fairview General Hospital is offering a unique opportunity for new graduate RN’s to join our teams through our nurse residency program. This program will provide education, support, and hands-on training to new graduate nurses as they begin their careers at RFGH. All new RNs can expect a structured, comprehensive orientation in which they will work closely with experienced nurse preceptors. New RNs will also be paired with a specific nurse mentor for their first year of employment who will help guide them through the transition from student to practicing RN. Full time positions are available for nurses who have recently graduated or who are graduating in the upcoming months from an accredited nursing school

Status: Full time, 36 hours, Variable shift

Nursing

The position offers the opportunity to lead operations of a busy community hospital. Must be skilled in communication and relationship management, and have knowledge of the healthcare environment. Must be able to lead and direct, gain the trust and respect of others, and promote teamwork. This position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Status: Per diem, typical shift is 12 hours from 7am to 7pm or from 7pm to 7am, including weekend coverage, and partial shift coverage is a possibility.

Qualities: The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, flexibility and demonstrate the ability to work as a team.

Requirements: RN with 5 years of hospital experience, BSN preferred. MOAB, ACLS, BLS & NRP (will train) certifications required. Current Maine RN license required.

Birthing Center

This is a competent professional registered nurse position requiring practical and technical skills sufficient to deliver quality nursing care for newborns, childbearing women and women having OBGYN procedures. She/he must be able to assess and manage patients during all stages of pregnancy, labor and delivery, post-partum care, care of the neonate and post surgical care. The RN must also be able to assess and meet the patient's physical, emotional and educational needs and have the knowledge to refer to outside agencies whenever indicated.

Status: Full time, 36 hours, 7p-7a. This position includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualities: This vibrant and forward-thinking RN will possess strong critical thinking, flexibility and communication skills. The ability to work independently but also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient-centered care is a must.

Requirements: Perinatal experience preferred, however will train an RN with strong clinical background. NRP, Fetal Monitoring, CLC, STABLE, and IV Therapy are also preferred. RN Maine License, ACLS and BLS required.

Special Care Unit

RFGH SCU Department is seeking an RN for the night shift. The SCU RN is responsible for assessment of the critically ill patient whose status may change rapidly and for carrying out complex plans of care, which involve adherence to detailed policies, procedures, and standards for technical modalities.

Status: Full time, 36 hour 7a-7p, required share in the weekend/overnight/holiday call rotation

Qualities: Must have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to deal with complex clinical situations, and excellent team communication skills. The ability to work independently and also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient-centered care is a must.

Requirements: Must hold current Maine RN current with BLS and ACLS, PALS, IV Certification and Moderate Sedation are required within six months of hire. One year of critical care experience is preferred.

Special Care Unit

Requirements: Maine RN license, BLS, ACLS Certified. IV I and II certified. Moderate Sedation


IV Team

The IV Therapy RN will assume responsibility for the administration of IV solutions, blood transfusions, and certain IV medications to outpatients in the Infusion Bay area as well as provide assistance when called hospital-wide to various departments including Medical-Surgical, Special Care, Emergency Department, Birthing Center, PACU, Day Surgery, Endoscopy, Oncology and Radiology.

Status: Per diem, 7a-7p and 7p-7a shift available
