General

Laboratory

The blood bank/coagulation supervisor will be trained in all areas of the laboratory including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, coagulation and phlebotomy. The person in this position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the blood bank including blood product inventory management, staff training and competency assessment, monitoring of patient testing, transfusions in addition to keeping blood bank policies and procedures up to date.

Status: Full time, 40 hours, days with weekend and holiday rotation

Requirements: AS/BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent. MT/MLS/ASCP or equivalent and two years blood bank experience preferred.

Health Record Services

The coding technician shall participate as a member of the health record services department in providing accurate, timely and complete data for the hospital's patient care information system. This data is used for accumulating needed statistics, for carrying out studies for the hospital's performance improvement program, and as a means of arriving at decisions regarding effective management of patient care, and for the forecasting healthcare needs and services. Coders work remotely utilizing the Hospital’s Electronic Medical Record system Meditech Expanse

Requirements: CCS, CCS-P, RHIT or RHIA required or successfully obtain credential within 1 year of employment. 3 years of experience utilizing ICD-10-CM, PCS and CPT is preferred. Medical Staff Services

Redington-Fairview General Hospital is in search of a Director of Medical Staff Services. Duties/Responsibilities include providing leadership, management and operational oversight of Medical Staff Services and the credentialing of 280+ providers (2.75 FTEs). Working with Medical Staff Leadership to plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate Medical Staff activities. Preparing Medical Staff Committee agendas prior to the meetings, participate in all medical staff committees and maintaining accurate records of the meetings. Maintaining the medical staff bylaws, policies, procedures, and processes associated with the functioning of the medical staff. Regulatory compliance with standards that are relevant to the Medical Staff and Medical Staff Services. Timely and professional communication both internal and external customers.

Status: This is a full-time, 40-hour, salaried position.

Qualities: Important characteristics include a collaborative work style, flexibility, a high degree of organization and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. A strong work ethic and dedication are important.

Requirements: Candidate must have minimum 5 years’ experience working in health care. Medical Staff Office experience and managerial experience preferred. Redington OB/Gyn

Redington OB/GYN Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the physician and the office manager. The medical assistant will provide assistance following office procedures and protocols for Redington OB/GYN

Status: Full Time, 36 hours

Skowhegan Family Medicine

Radiology

Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager/Chief Technologist and the direction of the Radiologist(s), shall perform a variety of duties and technical Nuclear Medicine procedures in preparing patients for scans utilizing radioactive tracers for body imaging to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Staff must demonstrate knowledge and skill necessary to perform exams on patients of all age groups, are knowledgeable about development needs over the age span and when appropriate are knowledgeable about the use of age related equipment. Additional modality job requirements also required.

Status: Full time, 32hrs- Will include 16 hrs as a Nuclear Tech and 16 hrs in one other modality (CAT scan, X-Ray or Mammography) on call, weekend rotation and rotating holiday responsibilities are required

Radiology

EMS

The EMS paramedic performs under the direction of the Director of EMS according to the scope and limits of Maine EMS licensure, responds to calls for emergency care, transfer, routine facility-to-facility transport, community disaster, and participates in educational and public relations events. The paramedic provides timely, safe, efficient, and cost-effective care, and establishes and maintains mobile communication with facilities, other units and agencies and Medical Control.

Status: Full time

Qualities: This successful candidate must meet automotive insurability standards and must be able to work well in a fast-paced EMS environment.

Requirements: Must have current CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS, PIFT and AVOC


Pharmacy

Pharmacy Technicians share and rotate through 4 major assignments: sterile product admixture, computer/data entry, medication reconciliation, and medication distribution.

Status: 10 hours/wk with per diem hours also available

Qualities: Good attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Must have excellent communication skills and strong math & computer skills. The ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment is required.

Requirements: HS Diploma. Previous pharmacy or health care field experience desired, but not required.


Radiology

Under the supervision of the Chief Technologist and the direction of the Radiologist(s), the Staff Technologist shall perform a variety of radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnoses and clinical assessment. The Staff Technologist shall assume responsibility for designated areas and/or procedures, must have adaptability and willingness to cross-train into at least one other modality is encouraged, must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams on patients of all age groups, and must be knowledgeable about developmental needs over the age span and where appropriate are knowledgeable about the use of age related equipment.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: Patient centered team approach to care is imperative.

Requirements: Must be a graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology program. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and maintain current active status. Must hold a current Maine State license for radiology Technology. BLS required. Previous experience is desirable.


Health Record Services

The Release of Information Specialist shall participate as a member of the Health Record Services Department and respond to requests for release of medical information and perform related duties as required.

Status: Full time, 40 hours, days

Qualities: Must be well organized and have good communication skills. Previous experience in health information and/or medical background with general office experience

Requirements: Applicant must have a high school education. Previous experience with release of information rules and regulations preferred. Experience using an electronic medical record system is preferred. Experience with Meditech Expanse would be advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Respiratory Therapy

The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing various therapeutic and diagnostic modalities as well as patient education and participation in quality assurance surveys. One to two years of experience with blood gas skills preferred. Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as well as 12 hour call rotations for coverage and transports required.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: Ability to work independently in emergency situations

Requirements: State of Maine Respiratory Therapy license and RRT required; BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP required, or able to obtain within an allotted amount of time.

Respiratory Therapy

The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing various therapeutic and diagnostic modalities as well as patient education and participation in quality assurance surveys. Nutrition Services

All trayline workers are responsible for accuracy in patient tray set-up in accordance with diet orders. They assemble salads, desserts, and beverages for all diets and transport completed trays to patient rooms. Trayline workers also perform assigned cleaning tasks in the kitchen and other duties as required.

Status: Full time, 32 hours, 10:30a-7p with every other weekend

Qualities: Flexibility and a great attitude required

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Food service experience is a plus, but willing to train the right person.


Ultrasound

Under the direction of the Radiologist, performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and communicates results, completes examinations according to prescribed procedures using independent judgment in the utilization of ultrasonic equipment for medical diagnoses, is responsible for daily operations of the department, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures and quality assessment, must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams on patients of all age groups, and must be knowledgeable about developmental needs over the age span and where appropriate are knowledgeable about age related equipment.

Status: per diem

Qualities: Patient centered care and attention to detail are required

Requirements: Must have a high school education and be a Registered Radiologic Technologist with previous Ultrasound experience or Previous Ultrasound experience or hold the ARDMS Registry for Ultrasound. or Be a graduate from an 'Approved Accredited Ultrasound School', holding the Physics component of the ARDMS registry-and eligible to take a 'specialty' within 1 year of graduation for completion of ARDMS credentials. However, we strongly encourage the completion of the ARDMS credentials within the first 6 to 9 months of employment. BLS

Emergency Department

The Emergency Department Charge nurse is responsible for the smooth functioning of the department and its needs by using independent judgement to assign staff and direct the team to achieve high quality patient care outcomes.

Status: Full time, 36 hours 6pm-6am, includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Emergency Department

The Emergency Department Nurse Manager is a professional nurse leader responsible for assessing, planning, directing and evaluating patient care. The ED Manager is responsible for carrying out complex plans of care which involve adherence to detailed policies, procedures and standards for technical modalities. The ED Manager must have sound clinical judgment and be able to apply a broad knowledge base towards positive patient outcomes by planning and implementing advanced nursing interventions and is responsible for human and material resource planning, risk management, adherence to regulatory requirements, and creating a professional practice environment. The nurse manager creates a work environment that facilitates and encourages involvement of the staff and critical thinking to enact professional nursing practices.

Status; Full time, 40 hours/week with 24 hour responsibility

Qualities: The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills participating as an effective team member encouraging and engaging staff as well as supporting the mission and values of RFGH

Requirements: State of ME RN license, BSN preferred. Previous Healthcare Management in an ED setting preferred. BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC, Moderate Sedation and CEN within one year. Budgeting experience preferred.


Oncology

The Oncology Nurse Manager is a professional nurse leader responsible for assessing, planning, directing and evaluating patient care. The manager is responsible for carrying out complex plans of care which involve adherence to detailed policies, procedures and standards for technical modalities, must have sound clinical judgment and be able to apply a broad knowledge base towards positive patient outcomes by planning and implementing advanced nursing interventions, is responsible for human and material resource planning, risk management and creating a professional practice environment. The role consists of managing the unit as well as being part of the clinical staff.

Status: Full time with excellent benefit package

Qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills are imperative. Flexibility required in order to meet the needs of patients and institutional mission.

Requirements: Bachelor preparation preferred. Experienced, qualified technical or diploma prepared nurse with continued education acceptable. Minimum of four years’ experience in Oncology preferred Registered in the State of Maine. ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification within one year of hire.

Birthing Center

This is a competent professional registered nurse position requiring practical and technical skills sufficient to deliver quality nursing care for newborns, childbearing women and women having OBGYN procedures. She/he must be able to assess and manage patients during all stages of pregnancy, labor and delivery, post-partum care, care of the neonate and post surgical care. The RN must also be able to assess and meet the patient's physical, emotional and educational needs and have the knowledge to refer to outside agencies whenever indicated.

Status: Full time, 36 hours, 7p-7a. Participation in weekend and rotating holiday coverage required.

Qualities: This vibrant and forward-thinking RN will possess strong critical thinking, flexibility and communication skills. The ability to work independently but also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient-centered care is a must.

Requirements: Perinatal experience preferred, however will train an RN with strong clinical background. NRP, Fetal Monitoring, CLC, STABLE, and IV Therapy are also preferred. RN Maine License, ACLS and BLS required.

Birthing Center

RFGH SCU Department is seeking two RN's for the night shift. The SCU RN is responsible for assessment of the critically ill patient whose status may change rapidly and for carrying out complex plans of care, which involve adherence to detailed policies, procedures, and standards for technical modalities.

Status: Full time, 36 hour 7p-7a, required share in the weekend/overnight/holiday call rotation

Qualities: Must have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to deal with complex clinical situations, and excellent team communication skills. The ability to work independently and also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient-centered care is a must.

Requirements: Must hold current Maine RN current with BLS and ACLS, PALS, IV Certification and Moderate Sedation are required within six months of hire. One year of critical care experience is preferred.

The Redington Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner provides direct patient care of pediatric patients in the ambulatory setting. This is a full-time employed position in a 2 provider practice. Competitive salary and full benefit package.
