General

Emergency Department

The Emergency Department CNA/UC works to support a busy multi-disciplinary team. This person must have the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines. Patient centered focus is imperative.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Must have great customer service skills

Requirements: Certification from an approved Nurse’s Aide program and Me State CNA registry required. BLS certification required.

Housekeeping

Housekeeper will be responsible for keeping assigned areas clean, sanitary, and aseptic by scouring, above shoulder dusting, mopping, using germicides, and wet dusting. Successful candidate will clean patient rooms, public areas, clinical, and office areas. Removes solid, bio-hazardous and recyclable waste. Performs other related housekeeping duties such as wall washing, dusting air vents, ceiling light fixtures and glass cleaning. Keeps work station and equipment neat and clean

Status: Full time, 40 hours, variable day shift, every other weekend

Qualities: Must work well independently with some supervision. Must be comfortable in an Emergency Department environment

Requirements: High school education or equivalent required. Experience in institutional housekeeping preferred but willing to train the right person. Must be available to work holidays.

RMPC

The RMPC Float Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the Physician and the Office Manager of various Primary and Specialty Care offices to support exceptional patient centered care.

Status: Full time, 32-40 hours M-F

Qualities: Good interpersonal and organizational skills required. Previous medical office experience is desirable. Must be able to multi task and have computer and typing skills

Requirements: Medical Assistant Certification required. Associate Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.

RMPC

The RMPC Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the physician and the Office Manager to support exceptional patient centered care.

Status: Full time, 40 hours, Tu-F 6:30-5

Qualities: Good interpersonal and organizational skills required. Previous medical office experience is desirable. Must be able to multi task and have computer and typing skills

Requirements: Associate Degree in Medical Assistant preferred and Medical Assistant Certification required.

Redington Pediatrics

The Redington Pediatrics Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the physician and the Office Manager to support exceptional patient centered care.

Status: Full time, 32 hours- Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri 8-4:30

Qualities: The successful candidate must be able to multitask, have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Requirements: Associate Degree in Medical Assistant preferred and Medical Assistant Certification required. Previous experience with electronic medical records is preferred. Pediatric experience preferred. Flexibility to work occasional overtime if needed.

Social Services

The Medical Social Worker assesses patients of all ages potentially at high risk for social, emotional, mental/behavioral, and medical complications and assists them in exploring choices available to them, the goal being to reach an optimal level of independent functioning through the acceptance/modification of their social, emotional/behavioral and medical status. Responsible for psycho-social assessments for patient of all ages in all areas of the hospital. Responsible for discharge planning.

Primary responsibilities include working closely with interdisciplinary team to determine patients’ needs and coordinate care needed after discharge from hospital. Meet with patients and families to determine level of assistance that can be provided at home after discharge and make referrals to home health, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, long-term care or hospice facilities. Connects patients with community resources to assist patient at home. Plan and attend family meetings with patient and medical/therapy team. Maintains and fosters relationships with resource partners, DHHS, regulators, and community leaders. Eliminates barriers to the patient’s good health and social concerns to decrease readmissions.

Status: Full time

Qualities: Requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the need to be a team player interacting with community facilities and agencies as well as disciplines in a fast-paced critical access hospital.

Requirements: Maine LSW license required. Knowledge of community resources helpful. Experience in medical social work preferred.

Radiology

Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager/Chief Technologist and the direction of the Radiologist(s), shall perform a variety of duties and technical Nuclear Medicine procedures in preparing patients for scans utilizing radioactive tracers for body imaging to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Staff must demonstrate knowledge and skill necessary to perform exams on patients of all age groups, are knowledgeable about development needs over the age span and when appropriate are knowledgeable about the use of age related equipment.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: Patient centered approach to care is essential.

Requirements: Must be a graduate from an approved Radiology Technology school holding a National Registry in Radiology Technology. Must have previous Nuclear Medicine experience. Must hold a State of Maine Nuclear Medicine License or be a graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine School holding a National registry in Nuclear Medicine and a State of Maine Nuclear Medicine License. BLS

Radiology

Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager/Chief Technologist and the direction of the Radiologist(s), shall perform a variety of duties and technical Nuclear Medicine procedures in preparing patients for scans utilizing radioactive tracers for body imaging to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Staff must demonstrate knowledge and skill necessary to perform exams on patients of all age groups, are knowledgeable about development needs over the age span and when appropriate are knowledgeable about the use of age related equipment.

Status: Part time, 16 hr

Qualities: Patient centered approach to care is essential.

Requirements: Must be a graduate from an approved Radiology Technology school holding a National Registry in Radiology Technology. Must have previous Nuclear Medicine experience. Must hold a State of Maine Nuclear Medicine License or be a graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine School holding a National registry in Nuclear Medicine and a State of Maine Nuclear Medicine License. BLS

Pharmacy

Pharmacy Technicians share and rotate through 4 major assignments: sterile product admixture, computer/data entry, medication reconciliation, and medication distribution.

Status: Full time, 30 hours

Qualities: Good attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Must have excellent communication skills and strong math & computer skills. The ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment is required.

Requirements: HS Diploma. Previous pharmacy or health care field experience desired, but not required.

Laboratory

The Laboratory Department Phlebotomy/EKG Technician staff will be competent to perform all diagnostic procedures, as assigned and must be able to demonstrate consistent competence to perform the skills required

Status: Full time, 9:30a-6p, rotating weekends and holidays

Qualities: An ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.

Requirements: High School Diploma. Certificate from accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.

Laboratory

The Laboratory Department Phlebotomy/EKG Technician staff will be competent to perform all diagnostic procedures, as assigned and must be able to demonstrate consistent competence to perform the skills required

Status: Per Diem working all shifts. Applicant must be open to working holidays, weekends and/or as needed

Qualities: An ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.

Requirements: High School Diploma. Certificate from accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.

Rehab Services

The Rehab & Fitness Services receptionist is responsible for greeting the department's customers in person and on the telephone, determining the customer's needs, gathering information from various sources, and coordinating the department's resources to meet those needs. This includes scheduling patient appointments, registering patients in the electronic medical record, scanning, faxing, and providing general office support as needed to ensure the prompt, efficient, and friendly delivery of services to the customers. Receptionist/Registrar experience preferred; however, will train the right candidate.

Status: Full time, 40 hours, M-F.

Qualities: Effective teamwork, flexibility, patience, and courtesy towards patients, family, and other staff are essential.

Requirements: The Receptionist must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Basic skills and comfort in office-related computer use, as well as understanding basic medical terminology is preferred. Knowledge of electronic medical recording, word processing, and spreadsheet data entry preferred.

Ultrasound

Under the direction of the Radiologist, performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Acquires complete patient history, ensures proper patient identification, and asses clinical symptoms with relevance to the exam requested. Interprets exam results and reports findings to ordering providers. Ultrasound Technologists are responsible for daily department operations, patient schedules and scheduling equipment maintenance. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams on patients of all age groups.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: Patient centered care and attention to detail are required.

Requirements: Current ARDMS certification is preferred.

Status: Full time, 32 hour. 12:30p-9p. Responsible for rotating call, every fourth weekend call and holiday call rotation.

Qualities: Patient centered care and attention to detail are required.

Requirements: Current ARDMS certification is preferred.

Birthing Center

This is a competent professional registered nurse position requiring practical and technical skills sufficient to deliver quality nursing care for newborns, childbearing women and women having OBGYN procedures. She/he must be able to assess and manage patients during all stages of pregnancy, labor and delivery, post-partum care, care of the neonate and post surgical care. The RN must also be able to assess and meet the patient's physical, emotional and educational needs and have the knowledge to refer to outside agencies whenever indicated.

Status: Per Diem

Qualities: This vibrant and forward-thinking RN will possess strong critical thinking, flexibility and communication skills. The ability to work independently but also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient-centered care is a must.

Requirements: Perinatal experience required. NRP, Fetal Monitoring, CLC, STABLE, and IV Therapy are also preferred. RN Maine License, ACLS and BLS required.

This is a competent professional registered nurse position requiring practical and technical skills sufficient to deliver quality nursing care for newborns, childbearing women and women having OBGYN procedures. She/he must be able to assess and manage patients during all stages of pregnancy, labor and delivery, post-partum care, care of the neonate and post surgical care. The RN must also be able to assess and meet the patient's physical, emotional and educational needs and have the knowledge to refer to outside agencies whenever indicated.

Status: Full time, 36 hours, 7p-7a. Participation in weekend and rotating holiday coverage required.

RFGH is seeking a full time Family Practice Physician who also manages Obstetrics to join our Family Practice Team. This position is located at Skowhegan Family Medicine. This is an employed position. Must be BC/BE within 5 years post Residency Training. Cross coverage with 7 other Family Providers. Call is 1:6. Competitive Salary and full benefit package. Full time Neurologist opening. Outpatient position with occasional inpatient consultations. No call. Must be BC/BE within 5 years of training. Employed position includes competitive salary and excellent benefits. Earned Benefit Time and $4,000 CME allowance.

RFGH is seeking (1) full time Radiologist to join our team. Employed position joining 1 employed Radiologist and 2 contracted. Must be BC/BE within 5 years post Residency training.
