CNA/UC

Emergency Department

The Emergency Department CNA/UC works to support a busy multi-disciplinary team. This person must have the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines. Patient centered focus is imperative.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Must have great customer service skills

Requirements: Certification from an approved Nurse’s Aide program and Me State CNA registry required. BLS certification required.

Clinical Dietitian

Nutrition Services

The Dietitians are a valuable member of the Healthcare team here at RFGH. We offer a flexible schedule and competitive wages. Coverage would include 1-2 days/month, primarily week-end day, and possible holiday coverage occasionally

The clinical dietitian performs nutritional assessments, develops and implements care plans, provides nutrition education and coordinates nutritional care for hospital in patients with kitchen staff.

Status: Per diem,

Qualities: The ability to work independently, but also collaborate with healthcare professionals and the nutrition services team while providing patient-centered care is a must.

Requirements: State of Maine Dietitian License, Registered Dietitian by CDR

Computer Technician/IT Helpdesk

Information Technology

Responsibilities include daily support of all end user technology, working with problem tickets and when needed, escalation to the appropriate internal and/or external parties. Must have knowledge of basic networking and be able to provide assistance for employees with software and hardware (printers, scanners, PCs, mobile devices) issues. Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Office, and Apple devices is required. Willingness to learn is vital. This position includes tuition reimbursement/loan forgiveness and competitive pay

Status: Full time, 40 hours, Day shift 7am – 3:30pm, on site. Must be willing to work occasional overtime as required to meet the needs of the department

Qualities: Must have excellent communication and customer service skills and be experienced in supporting end users in person, by email, remotely and by phone. Teamwork is critical as well as assisting with projects outside of assigned responsibilities.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience is preferred with all previous education, certifications and experience taken into account. There will be an opportunity to obtain IT training and/or certifications.

Medical Assistant/Medical Secretary

Podiatry/Gastro/Pain Clinic/General Surgery

The specialty clinic Medical Assistant/Medical Secretary performs various activities within the Podiatry, Gastroenterology, Pain clinic and General Surgery offices under the general supervision of the physician and the Office Manager. The Medical Assistant/Medical Secretary is expected to know all of the functions of the office procedures and protocols for these practices. Scheduling of specialty procedures is an essential task for this role.

Status: Full time, 32 Hours, 7:30-4:00 Tuesday-Friday

Qualities: Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills required. Previous medical office experience is desirable. Must be able to multitask and have computer and typing skills

Requirements: Associate Degree in Medical Assistant preferred. Medical Assistant Certification required. High School graduate and medical terminology required

Medical Assistant

Rural Health Family Care

Rural Health Family Care Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the physician and the Office Manager to support exceptional patient centered care.

Status: Full time, 36 hours, 7:30am – 5pm (4 day week)

Qualities: Good interpersonal and organizational skills required. Previous medical office experience is desirable. Must be able to multitask and have computer and typing skills

Requirements: Medical Assistant Certification required. Associate Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.

Medical Secretary

Somerset Primary Care

The Medical Secretary supports the front office operations of a busy practice under the direction of the Practice Manager.

Status: Full time, 36 hours 8am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-12pm Friday

Qualities: The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication, flexibility, teamwork and customer service skills. Must be able to multitask and have computer and typing skills.

Requirements: Experience in a medical setting, medical terminology and electronic health records are preferred. High school diploma or GED required.

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Rehab Services

RFGH Rehab & Fitness is seeking a full time, Maine-licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant. This position includes treatment of a variety of populations throughout the lifespan. Majority of caseload will be comprised of outpatient developmental pediatrics as well as some inpatient adult care (orthopedic, neurological, and generalized functional impairments). New grads welcome to apply. The candidate/employee will receive on the job training and mentorship from a team of experienced and supportive therapists. The position offers an excellent compensation and benefit package and continuing education support.

What makes Redington Rehab unique: Despite our rural location, RFGH employs a large group of talented therapists; PT, OT , and Speech with 31 licensed therapists/therapy assistants. Phlebotomist/EKG Technician

Laboratory

The Laboratory Department Phlebotomy/EKG Technician staff will be competent to perform all diagnostic procedures, as assigned and must be able to demonstrate consistent competence to perform the skills required

Status: Per Diem, must be able to cover a 5am start time

Qualities: An ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.

Requirements: Certificate from accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.

Staff Pharmacist

Pharmacy

We provide progressive pharmacy services to this 25-bed Critical Access Hospital from our location on the Medical/Surgical floor. We are a valued part of the health care team and have achieved an open and cooperative relationship with the Medical and Nursing Staffs. The focus for all of us is quality patient care.

This position is full-time, 35hours/wk. We are open 7 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday and 7 am to 5:30 pm Saturday and Sunday. Schedule will include every 4th weekend, and some holidays.

State of Maine license required. Previous hospital experience is preferred.

Nurse Manager

Birthing Center

The Nurse Manager is a professional nurse leader responsible for patient care in the Birthing Center. Candidates must have sound clinical judgment, strong clinical skills and be able to coach others achieving excellence in patient care and service.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for human and material resource planning, staff development and creating a professional practice environment, managing the unit as well as being part of the clinical staff, and creating a work environment that facilitates and encourages involvement of staff in critical thinking to enact professional nursing practices.

Qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills are imperative. Four years’ experience in labor, delivery and post-partum care. Flexibility required in order to meet the needs of patients and institutional mission.

SFM is seeking a full time RN to provide patient nursing visits, nursing triage and care management in various offices throughout the system.

Status: Full time, 40 hours, M-Th 7:15-4:30 & Fr 7:15-12:15

Qualities: Must demonstrate the ability to work as a team and provide excellent customer service. Must have flexibility and excellent communication skills.

RN Emergency Department

Emergency Department

The Emergency Department RN is a professional who displays expertise in observation, assessment and treatment of patients of all ages that require emergency, urgent or non-urgent treatment. Using the nursing process, the Emergency Department RN coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working collaboratively with the Emergency Department providers and other patient team members.

Status: Full time, 36 hours, 6p-6a. This position includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Advanced Practice Provider

Redington Neurology

RFGH is seeking a full time physician extender to join the expanding Neurology team. (Mon-Fri, Days). We are looking for an experienced PA or NP with experience in Neurology to join our team. The APP assists individuals and families with their care needs by obtaining health and medical histories, performing physical examinations, and assessing health problems. The APP cares for patients with acute and chronic life limiting illnesses by managing therapeutic regimens, prescribing medications and performing other studies and activities that are deemed appropriate. Required for the position is extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology and management of acute and chronic neurologic diseases; excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to instruct patients and their families and to collaborate with multi-disciplined health team members. The candidate will also perform injections for headache patients. At least two years of experience in Neurology is required.

RFGH is seeking a full time Hospitalist to join our team. This is a 7 on 7 off rotating days/nights schedule. As a member of the hospitalist team, the Hospitalist provides and manages direct patient care of young adults through the geriatric population in the hospital and assures the adequacy and appropriateness of medical care provided to patients.

RFGH is seeking (1) full time Radiologist to join our team. Employed position joining 1 employed Radiologist and 2 contracted. Must receive board certification within the timeframe set by the appropriate specialty board. Fuji PACS-RIS System and Powerscribe Dictation. Expect to read 70-90 cases daily.
