General

Rehab Services

Working in a fun and supportive team environment, this position’s responsibilities include lifeguarding, provision of water fitness instruction, assisting with pool and facility cleaning, and checking in visitors. Current lifeguard and WSI swim instruction certification desired; however, training may be provided.

Status: Part Time 26 hours, M-F.

Qualities: Effective teamwork, flexibility, patience, and courtesy towards patients, patrons, and other staff are essential.

Requirements: Lifeguard and WSI certification preferred, but not required. Candidate must be willing and capable of obtaining such certifications.

Emergency Department

The Emergency Department CNA/UC works to support a busy multi-disciplinary team. This person must have the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines. Patient centered focus is imperative.

Status: Full time, 36 hour, 11a-11p

Qualities: Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Must have great customer service skills

Requirements: Certification from an approved Nurse’s Aide program and Me State CNA registry required. BLS certification required.

Plant Operations

The plant operations clerical assistant will support the department with phones, managing work orders, data management, managing preventative maintenance system, filing of daily security logs and all other clerical duties to support efficient running of the department.

Status: Full time, 40 hours M-F 8:30-5

Qualities: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask are essential.

Requirements: High school diploma. Experience with clerical/secretarial duties is preferred. Must have strong computer skills.

Nutrition Services

The clinical dietitian performs nutritional assessments, develops and implements care plans, provides nutrition education and coordinates nutritional care for hospital in patients with kitchen staff.

Status: Per diem, Provides weekend coverage, ability to work every third to fourth weekend and cover vacations as able.

Qualities: The ability to work independently, but also collaborate with healthcare professionals and the nutrition services team while providing patient-centered care is a must.

Requirements: State of Maine Dietitian License, Registered Dietitian by CDR

RHFC

This is a medical secretary position that primarily answers phones, directing calls appropriately. The duties may also include electronic filing, scanning, scheduling patients, back up for checking patients in and out of visits.

Status: Full time, M-F 8-4:30

Qualities: Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work as a team, be organized and provide excellent customer service. Must have flexibility and excellent communication skills.

Requirements: Strong typing and computer knowledge and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred.


Skowhegan Family Medicine

The Medical Secretary supports the front office operations of a busy practice under the direction of the Practice Manager.

Status: Full time, 40 hours M-F

Qualities: The successful candidate will have flexibility, excellent customer service skills and be team oriented.

Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Strong computer skill necessary, medical terminology preferred.

Laboratory

The Laboratory Department Phlebotomy/EKG Technician staff will be competent to perform all diagnostic procedures, as assigned and must be able to demonstrate consistent competence to perform the skills required

Status: Per Diem, must be able to cover 5am shift.

Qualities: An ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.

Requirements:Certificate from accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.

RFGH

The hospital registrar functions as a coordinator for registration activities and is an integral member of the RFGH team. The registrar works directly with patients, obtaining consents and completing required forms as mandated by state and federal regulations. The registrar assists patients with handling clerical problems and resolving any issues such as incorrect identification.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: This position requires exceptional computer skills, a need for general knowledge of insurance, pre-certifications, medical terminology, and exemplary customer service skills.

Requirements: Medical Terminology preferred. Previous medical setting experience preferred

Security
The purpose of RFGH Security Services is to provide personnel and services which ensure a secure environment within the hospital complex for patients, employees, visitors, and physical property.

The work will be carried out by personnel who are trained in general areas of healthcare security and safety. Personnel will be assigned to scheduled patrols in the hospital's buildings and grounds. Security personnel shall be trained to provide assistance that may require physical restraint of unruly patients, visitors and intruders. Security personnel will also work closely with RFGH clinical staff, local and regional law enforcement agencies. Security staff will be un-armed at all times.

Status: Full time, 36 hrs, 6a-6p Sat, Sun, Mon

Qualities: Security personnel must have effective communication skills with a multitude of individuals. Must have a friendly and appropriate demeanor at all times. Must have flexibility throughout each shift to meet the needs of the facility in the moment.

Requirements: Sufficient previous experience in security operations is required. Law enforcement or criminal justice degree is preferred. IAHSS Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) is required within first 6 months of employment. De-escalation (AVADE) and age specific annual in-service is required. Current CPR Certification is preferred.

Rehab Services

RFGH Rehab & Fitness Services is looking for an experienced, full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluations and treatments in both our outpatient and inpatient settings; including Modified Barium Swallow assessments. Work with a large multidisciplinary medical team and support staff in providing outstanding therapy services to a diverse population of patients. Pediatric to adult populations served, however, a strong emphasis towards an early childhood caseload. Experience in early childhood intervention, adult rehabilitation, and dysphagia preferred. Outpatient caseload shared with Speech Therapy Assistant. We offer generous continuing education and professional support along with an excellent benefit package.

Status: Full time, 40 Hours per week with rotating holiday inpatient coverage

Requirements: Must have both a current Maine license as well as an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology

Switchboard

The Switchboard Operator shall maintain coverage of Switchboard by answering all incoming calls, code blue phone, and the beepers, must act in a professional manner, be neat appearing, tactful and friendly at all times when on duty, as they are the communication center and receptionist for the entire hospital

Status: Per Diem, available to fill all shifts

Qualities: Solid Communication skills, accuracy and reasoning skills are required. Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple duties is essential.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Computer experience is required.

Birthing Center

The Nurse Manager is a professional nurse leader responsible for patient care in the Birthing Center. Candidates must have sound clinical judgment, strong clinical skills and be able to coach others achieving excellence in patient care and service.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for human and material resource planning, staff development and creating a professional practice environment, managing the unit as well as being part of the clinical staff, and creating a work environment that facilitates and encourages involvement of staff in critical thinking to enact professional nursing practices.

Qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills are imperative. Four years’ experience in labor, delivery and post-partum care. Flexibility required in order to meet the needs of patients and institutional mission.

RMPC

RMPC is seeking a full time RN to provide patient nursing visits, nursing triage and care management in various offices throughout the system.

Status: Full time, 32-40 hours, M-F

Qualities: Must demonstrate the ability to work as a team and provide excellent customer service. Must have flexibility and excellent communication skills.

Requirements: Must hold current Maine RN, BLS.

Operating Room

RFGH Operating Room has a Circulating RN position available. The ideal candidate will provide patients with safe perioperative care in an outstanding team-oriented work environment that includes surgeons and anesthesiologists. The circulator will participate in patient care tasks as part of a team to include ensuring safety and sterility in our 3-Operating Room department.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent critical thinking and communication skills and be able to collaborate well with the multidisciplinary team. Patient-centered care is a must!

Previous OR experience is preferred but will train the right candidate. Current BLS certification required, ACLS and PALS training provided by RFGH required within one year of hire .

Monday through Friday, 6:45-2:15, and share in self-scheduling call rotation. Call back is 30minutes

Redington OB/GYN

Redington OBGYN, a division of Redington Fairview General Hospital is seeking two experienced and compassionate full-time Certified Nurse Midwifes to join our established Obstetrics and Gynecologic practice.

The successful candidates will provide full-scope midwifery care, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and well-woman gynecologic services and will work collaboratively other healthcare professionals to support patients through safe, personalized care.

The Certified Nurse Midwife provides full scope midwifery care to women of all ages during scheduled office hours and through on-call coverage.

This position is 40 hours per week, and requires 1:3 call coverage.

Compensation, 140k-180k depending on experience.

RFGH is seeking a full time Hospitalist to join our team. This is a 7 on 7 off rotating days/nights schedule. As a member of the hospitalist team, the Hospitalist provides and manages direct patient care of young adults through the geriatric population in the hospital and assures the adequacy and appropriateness of medical care provided to patients.
