General

Med/Surg

The Med-Surg CNA/UC Tech works to support a busy multi-disciplinary team. This person must have the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines. The CNA/UC Tech will provide support clinically and clerically.

Status: Full time,36 hours per week 6a-6p

Qualities: Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently, perform effectively under pressure and be able to multitask. Customer service, computer and phone skills are a must. Patient –centered focus is imperative. We are actively seeking a candidate with a positive attitude, ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, exemplifies teamwork and commitment to the position.

Requirement: Valid and current Maine State CNA registry required. BLS certification.

Endoscopy

The endoscopy department is seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic endoscopy aide. The endoscopy aide participates as a member of the endoscopy team by performing housekeeping tasks, cleaning of equipment and clerical duties as assigned.

Status: Per-diem. No weekends, no holidays.

Qualities: Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Must have great attention to detail and adhere to all infection control policies.

Requirements: No clinical certification required. On the job training will be provided for specific skills for the right candidate.

RMPC

The RMPC Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the physician and the Office Manager to support exceptional patient centered care.

Status: Full time, 40 hours M-F

Qualities: Good interpersonal and organizational skills required. Previous medical office experience is desirable. Must be able to multi task and have computer and typing skills

Requirements: Medical Assistant Certification required. Associate Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.

Skowhegan Family Medicine

The SFM Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the physician and the Office Manager. The Medical Assistant is expected to know all of the functions of the office procedures and protocols for SFM

Status: Full time, 30-40 Hours, M-F

Qualities: Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills required. Previous medical office experience is desirable. Must be able to multi task and have computer and typing skills

Requirements: Associate Degree in Medical Assistant preferred. Medical Assistant Certification required. High School graduate and Medical terminology required


EMS

The EMS paramedic performs under the direction of the Director of EMS according to the scope and limits of Maine EMS licensure, responds to calls for emergency care, transfer, routine facility-to-facility transport, community disaster, and participates in educational and public relations events. The paramedic provides timely, safe, efficient, and cost-effective care, and establishes and maintains mobile communication with facilities, other units and agencies and Medical Control.

Status: Full time, 36 hour/week

Qualities: This successful candidate must meet automotive insurability standards and must be able to work well in a fast-paced EMS environment.

Requirements: Must have current CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS, PIFT and AVOC

Rehab Services

RFGH Rehab & Fitness is seeking a full time, Maine-licensed Physical Therapist for our Outpatient Rehab setting. This includes evaluation and treatment of a variety of populations throughout the lifespan with majority of caseload being orthopedic. New grads welcome to apply. The candidate/employee will receive on the job training and mentorship from a team of experienced and supportive therapists. The position offers an excellent benefit package and continuing education support.

Status: Full time, 40 hours, M-F with one night per week working until 6pm closing.

Qualities: Effective teamwork, flexibility, patience, and courtesy towards patients, family, and other staff are essential. The candidate/employee will require the physical ability to perform job related duties which may require sitting, standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, stretching, pushing, and pulling.

Requirements: Maine PT licensure.

Respiratory Therapy

The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing various therapeutic and diagnostic modalities as well as patient education and participation in quality assurance surveys. One to two years of experience with blood gas skills preferred. Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as well as 12 hour call rotations for coverage.

Status: Full-time, 36 hours 5p-5a

Qualities: Ability to work independently in emergency situations

Requirements: State of Maine Respiratory Therapy license and RRT required; BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP required, or able to obtain within an allotted amount of time.

Respiratory Therapy

The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing various therapeutic and diagnostic modalities as well as patient education and participation in quality assurance surveys. One to two years of experience with blood gas skills preferred. Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as well as 12 hour call rotations for coverage and transports required.

Sterile Processing

RFGH is seeking an experienced and reliable Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and distribution of patient care instruments as well as maintaining accurate records of inventory and sterilization cycles.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: You must have a keen eye for detail and accuracy, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential.

Requirements: High school diploma and a minimum of one year of experience in a sterile processing setting required. Must be Certified as CRCST or CSPDT. BLS is mandatory within three months of hire.

Ultrasound

Under the direction of the Radiologist, performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and communicates results, completes examinations according to prescribed procedures using independent judgment in the utilization of ultrasonic equipment for medical diagnoses, is responsible for daily operations of the department, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures and quality assessment, must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams on patients of all age groups, and must be knowledgeable about developmental needs over the age span and where appropriate are knowledgeable about age related equipment.

Qualities: Patient centered care and attention to detail are required

Requirements: Must have a high school education and be a Registered Radiologic Technologist with previous Ultrasound experience or Previous Ultrasound experience or hold the ARDMS Registry for Ultrasound. or Be a graduate from an 'Approved Accredited Ultrasound School', holding the Physics component of the ARDMS registry-and eligible to take a 'specialty' within 1 year of graduation for completion of ARDMS credentials. However, we strongly encourage the completion of the ARDMS credentials within the first 6 to 9 months of employment. BLS

Birthing Center

This is a competent professional registered nurse position requiring practical and technical skills sufficient to deliver quality nursing care for newborns, childbearing women and women having OBGYN procedures. She/he must be able to assess and manage patients during all stages of pregnancy, labor and delivery, post-partum care, care of the neonate and post surgical care. The RN must also be able to assess and meet the patient's physical, emotional and educational needs and have the knowledge to refer to outside agencies whenever indicated.

Status: Full time, 36 hours, 7p-7a. Participation in weekend and rotating holiday coverage required.

Qualities: This vibrant and forward-thinking RN will possess strong critical thinking, flexibility and communication skills. The ability to work independently but also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient-centered care is a must.

Requirements: Perinatal experience preferred, however will train an RN with strong clinical background. NRP, Fetal Monitoring, CLC, STABLE, and IV Therapy are also preferred. RN Maine License, ACLS and BLS required.

Special Care Unit

The SCU R.N. is responsible for assessment of the critically ill patient whose status may change rapidly and for carrying out complex plans of care, which involve adherence to detailed policies, procedures, and standards for technical modalities.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: Must have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to deal with complex clinical situations, and excellent team communication skills. The ability to work independently and also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient-centered care is a must.

Requirements: Must hold current Maine RN current with BLS and ACLS, PALS, IV Certification and Moderate Sedation are required within six months of hire. One year of critical care experience is preferred.

Special Care Unit

RFGH SCU Department is seeking two RN's for the night shift. The SCU RN is responsible for assessment of the critically ill patient whose status may change rapidly and for carrying out complex plans of care, which involve adherence to detailed policies, procedures, and standards for technical modalities.

Status: Full time, 36 hour 7p-7a, required share in the weekend/overnight/holiday call rotation

Qualities: Must have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to deal with complex clinical situations, and excellent team communication skills. The ability to work independently and also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient-centered care is a must.

Requirements: Must hold current Maine RN current with BLS and ACLS, PALS, IV Certification and Moderate Sedation are required within six months of hire. One year of critical care experience is preferred.

This position requires a registered professional nurse to plan, coordinate and assist with endoscopic procedures/special procedures.

RFGH is seeking a full time Internal Medicine/or Family Medicine Physician to join our Adult Medicine Team. No pediatrics or OB. Interest in Addiction Medicine is a plus. This position is located at Somerset Primary Care at 62 Main Street in Skowhegan. This is an employed position in a 4 provider practice. Must be BC/BE within 5 years post Residency training.
