General

RFGH

RFGH is seeking night shift float CNA's. This is a nursing aid position that will be responsible for floating to multiple clinical departments in the hospital (including Med/Surg, SCU, Birthing Center, and ED) as directed by the nursing supervisor or nursing leadership to work in a capacity as a CNA and/or Unit Coordinator (sometimes both).

Status: Full time, 36 hours per week 6p-6a

Qualities: The position requires an exceptional ability to multi-task, be flexible, and function in extremely stressful situations. This individual needs basic preparation to perform assigned patient care activities and related non-professional services that assist the registered professional nurses to care for the personal needs and comfort of patients.

Requirements: Must be certified through an approved State of Maine nurse aide certification program. Must also be on the State of Maine registry. The CNA position is entry to advanced level. BLS.

SCU
The Special Care Unit Tech works to support a busy multi-disciplinary team. This person must have the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines. The SCU Tech is an integral part of the Critical Care Team as they will provide support clinically, clerically, and help with Telemetry monitoring. All new hires will go through a comprehensive Telemetry Course to help support the monitoring of in-patient Telemetry.

Status: Full time, night shift-36 hours with every other weekend

Somerset Public Health

This is a 40 hour, grant-funded position with benefits- Do you enjoy being physically active and working with youth and families in schools and communities? If so, this is the position for you! Somerset Public Health is seeking a qualified individual to provide leadership to our physical activity and nutrition programs, and the Move More Kids (MMK) program. A successful candidate must have the ability to work within a team and independently to collaborate with schools, child care facilities, after school programs and communities to improve physical activity and nutrition policies and environments.

Essential Job Responsibilities

· Work with Somerset County schools, after school programs and youth-serving agencies to increase healthy eating and active living through various programs.

· Work with Somerset County school and community nutrition stakeholders to increase nutritional quality and access to healthy foods.

· Identify school and community needs, contribute to the development of trainings, and provide technical assistance to community partners.

EMS

The EMT performs under the direction of the Director of EMS according to the scope and limits of Maine EMS licensure, responds to calls for emergency care, transfer, routine facility-to-facility transport, community disaster, and participates in educational and public relations events. The EMT provides timely, safe, efficient, and cost-effective care, and establishes and maintains mobile communication with facilities, other units and agencies and Medical Control.

Status: per diem

Qualities: This successful candidate must meet automotive insurability standards and must be able to work well in a fast-paced EMS environment.

Requirements: Must have current CPR, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS, PIFT and AVOC (appropriate to level of licensure)

RMPC

The RMPC Medical Assistant performs various activities under the general supervision of the physician and the Office Manager to support exceptional patient centered care.

Status: Full time, 40 hours M-F

Qualities: Good interpersonal and organizational skills required. Previous medical office experience is desirable. Must be able to multi task and have computer and typing skills

Requirements: Medical Assistant Certification required. Associate Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.

Laboratory

RFGH is seeking a Laboratory Technician/Technologist capable of functioning in all clinical areas of our full service hospital laboratory.

Status: per diem, nights, we are looking for a minimum of every third weekend availability

Qualities: Must have flexibility and excellent attention to detail.

Requirements: AS/BS degree in Medical Technology or BA/BS in Biological Science having completed required clinical laboratory training. ASCP/AMT certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent is preferred. At least one year of generalist experience in the areas of Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Microbiology and Phlebotomy is preferred.

Skowhegan Family Medicine

The Medical Secretary supports the front office operations of a busy practice under the direction of the Practice Manager.

Status: Full time, 40 hours M-F

Qualities: The successful candidate will have flexibility, excellent customer service skills and be team oriented.

Requirements: High School diploma or GED. Basic typing and computer knowledge and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred. Strong computer skill necessary.

Laboratory

RFGH is seeking a Laboratory Technician/Technologist capable of functioning in all clinical areas of our full service hospital laboratory.

Status: Full time, 36 hrs (3-12's), nights, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Qualities: Must have flexibility and excellent attention to detail.

Requirements: AS/BS degree in Medical Technology or BA/BS in Biological Science having completed required clinical laboratory training. Requirements: High School Diploma. Certificate from accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.

Plant Operations

The RFGH Plumber must have knowledge in steam, heating, chilled water, sewer, potable water and medical gas systems as well as the ability to repair these systems and their components as needed. Must have the willingness to provide general maintenance tasks as the need arises.

Status: Full time 40 hours with on call rotation

Qualities: Must have energetic work ethic, great communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements: Must hold a valid journeyman and/or master state of Maine plumbing license. High pressure boiler operator license required within 1 year of employment. Basic computer skills required. Experience in healthcare and a graduate of a trade/vocational school is preferred.

Radiology

Under the supervision of the Chief Technologist and the direction of the Radiologist(s), the Staff Technologist shall perform a variety of radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnoses and clinical assessment. The Staff Technologist shall assume responsibility for designated areas and/or procedures, must have adaptability and willingness to cross-train into at least one other modality is encouraged, must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams on patients of all age groups, and must be knowledgeable about developmental needs over the age span and where appropriate are knowledgeable about the use of age related equipment.

Status: Per diem

Qualities: Patient centered team approach to care is imperative.

Requirements: Must be a graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology program. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and maintain current active status. Must hold a current Maine State license for radiology Technology. BLS required. Previous experience is desirable.



Respiratory

The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing various therapeutic and diagnostic modalities as well as patient education and participation in quality assurance surveys. One to two years of experience with blood gas skills preferred. Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as well as 12 hour call rotations for coverage and transports required.

Status: Full-time, 36 hours

Qualities: Ability to work independently in emergency situations

Requirements: State of Maine Respiratory Therapy license and RRT required; BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP required, or able to obtain within an allotted amount of time.

Switchboard

The Switchboard Operator shall maintain coverage of Switchboard by answering all incoming calls, code blue phone, and the beepers, must act in a professional manner, be neat appearing, tactful and friendly at all times when on duty, as they are the communication center and receptionist for the entire hospital

Status: Per Diem, available to fill all shifts

Qualities: Solid Communication skills, accuracy and reasoning skills are required. Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple duties is essential.

Nutrition Services

All trayline workers are responsible for accuracy in patient tray set-up in accordance with diet orders. They assemble salads, desserts, and beverages for all diets and transport completed trays to patient rooms. Trayline workers also perform assigned cleaning tasks in the kitchen and other duties as required.

Status: Full time, 32 hours, 10:30a-7p with every other weekend

Qualities: Flexibility and a great attitude required

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Food service experience is a plus, but willing to train the right person.

Nursing

The position offers the opportunity to lead operations of a busy community hospital. Must be skilled in communication and relationship management, and have knowledge of the healthcare environment. Status: Per diem, typical shift is 12 hours from 7am to 7pm or from 7pm to 7am, including weekend coverage, and partial shift coverage is a possibility.

Somerset Primary Care

SPC is seeking a full time RN to provide patient nursing visits, nursing triage and care management as a part of the healthcare team.

Status: Full time, 36 hours Mon-Thurs 8-4:30 and Friday 8-12

Birthing Center

This is a competent professional registered nurse position requiring practical and technical skills sufficient to deliver quality nursing care for newborns, childbearing women and women having OBGYN procedures. She/he must be able to assess and manage patients during all stages of pregnancy, labor and delivery, post-partum care, care of the neonate and post surgical care. The RN must also be able to assess and meet the patient's physical, emotional and educational needs and have the knowledge to refer to outside agencies whenever indicated.

Day Surgery/PACU

This is a skilled professional nurse position requiring theoretical knowledge and practical skills to provide nursing care to the pediatric, adult, and geriatric surgical patient using the nursing process as reflected in Post Anesthesia Nursing Standards of Care in a manner that is cost effective without compromising the quality of care.
