General

Laboratory

The laboratory has an immediate opening for 40 hr/wk Blood Bank Supervisor. AS/BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent. MT/MLS ASCP or equivalent and two years blood bank experience preferred. This person will be trained in all areas of the laboratory including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank and phlebotomy. The person in this position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the blood bank including blood product inventory management, staff training and competency assessment, monitoring of patient testing, transfusions in addition to keeping blood bank policies and procedures up to date. This position includes a day shift weekend rotation and rotating holidays.

Business Office

RFGH is seeking a Full time Business Office Clerk M-F 8-4:30. Clerk shall be responsible for all of the processing of incoming, outgoing and interoffice mail and mail related tasks. Clerk shall be responsible for receiving coding and daily paperwork from the hospital. They are required to sort paperwork by insurance type, scanning paperwork to the billers, and filing paperwork in the proper locations. Clerk will be responsible for sorting Ambulance run sheets by insurance type, scanning runs sheets to billers, entering modifier and zip code information into Accuterm and proper filing of ambulance documents. Office Clerk to review the daily FSC report and verify patient eligibility, financial class, or patient demographic information. Answering the phones and assisting at home billers are also required. The RFGH Med/Surg Department is seeking a full time CNA. The full time position is 36 hours/week (6pm-6am shift) and includes every other weekend and occasional holidays. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must have the able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Must have great customer service skills. Must have the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines. This person will oversee day-to-day operations of our chemistry department. The person in this position will maintain, troubleshoot, and manage the quality assurance of our chemistry instrumentation. The Chemistry Supervisor will also oversee chemistry quality control, train students/new hires, maintain department reagent inventory levels, assess staff competency, and assure chemistry policies and procedures are up to date. This position includes every third weekend and every third holiday.

Emergency Department

The RFGH Emergency Department is seeking a full time ED Tech/UC to work a variable shift position to include some Weekends and Holidays. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Must have great customer service skills. Basic computer skills and experience in Medical Record Terminology or Medical office experience is preferred. RFGH is seeking a per diem Medical Secretary for day shifts in the radiology department. The successful candidate will have flexibility, excellent customer service skills and be team oriented. Previous experience in the medical setting is a plus.

Social Services

Social Services is looking for a full-time, Mon-Fri medical social worker. The medical social worker assesses patients of all ages potentially at high risk for social, emotional, mental/behavioral, and medical complications and assists them in exploring choices available to them, the goal being to reach an optimal level of independent functioning through the acceptance/modification of their social, emotional/behavioral, and medical status. Responsible for psycho-social assessments for patients of all ages in all areas of the hospital. LSW license is required. Assists with discharge planning. Requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the need to be a team player interacting with community facilities and agencies as well as disciplines in a fast-paced critical access hospital. Knowledge of community resources helpful. Experience in medical social work preferred

Nursing

RFGH is seeking 2 per diem patient observers. This position includes one-on-one observation of at-risk patients. This is a hands-off position and there is no expectation to do patient care. All patient needs/changes are observed and reported to nursing staff. Health care experience preferred but not necessary. Patient Observers work under direction of nursing. Rehab & Fitness

Redington-Fairview General Hospital, a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital located in Skowhegan, Maine is looking for a Maine licensed Physical Therapist to join our Rehab & Fitness team in providing high quality outpatient evaluations and treatments in a busy, well-equipped (including two pools) multi-disciplinary clinic. Occasional inpatient/acute care therapy responsibilities as well. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position: Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturday acute care coverage on a team rotation basis. Schedule flexibility provided. Respiratory

RFGH is seeking a per diem Respiratory Therapist. The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing various therapeutic and diagnostic modalities. This role is diverse, requiring a broad base of technical skills and mechanical ability relative to the patient's age-specific requirements. The therapist will perform patient education and participate in quality assurance surveys. Must be able to work alone and independently in emergency situations. Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as well as 12 hour call rotations for coverage and transports required. State of Maine Respiratory Therapy License and RRT required. BLS, ACLS & PALS and NRP certified required, or able to obtain certification within an allotted amount of time. One to two years of experience with blood gas skills preferred.

Plant Operations

RFGH seeks a Service Technician/General Maintenance Worker for a Full time, 40 hr M-F daytime shift who will be part of an on-call rotation. Knowledge of electric, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is preferred. Basic computer skills required. High Pressure Boiler operator license is required within 1 year of employment. Must have energetic work ethic, great communication and teamwork skills, and ability to work independently. Experience in healthcare environment and graduate of a trade/vocation school is preferred

Switchboard

RFGH is seeking a candidate for per diem hours to fill in for all shifts. Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Computer experience is required. Communication skills, accuracy and reasoning skills are required. Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple duties is essential.

Nutrition Services

The RFGH Nutrition Services Department is seeking a Full time, 30 hour utility/tray line worker. Flexibility and a great attitude required. Must have a high school education or GED. Food service experience is a plus, but willing to train the right person.

Redington Fairview’s nursing division is seeking a full time, 40 hours/week, community case manager. The community case manager will be a nurse who works in collaboration with the inpatient, primary care, and emergency department teams to identify and manage complex, high risk patients who may need intensive case management and follow-up across the continuum of care. This candidate will primarily support patients with congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emergency department patients requiring disposition and community resources, as well as those receiving care in the bridge clinic for substance use disorder. Seeking a candidate with strong assessment, critical thinking skills, and a team approach to providing clinical, psychosocial and financial resources to patients of all ages. Must have current RN license and BLS; BSN preferred.

The Cardiac Rehab Department has a per diem nursing position available. This dynamic RN will work as needed M, W, F 8a-4p. In this role, you will work with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and facilitate care, implement care plans, and help patients achieve targeted goals. Candidates must be fluent in cardiac rhythm reading and interpretation, ACLS certified, motivated, and have the ability to work both with a small team and also independently.
