The RFGH Education Department is seeking an assistant to the Director. Applicant is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient function of the Education office, acting as the focus of communication for the Department. He/she may assume responsibility for special projects assigned by the Director of Education. This individual will be expected to independently manage the ongoing day to day functions of the Education online management system. Other duties may include: providing clerical support to other members of the Education department, coverage of Librarian duties, management of conference rooms, technical support for equipment in conference rooms, room set-up, copying, filing, data entry, administration of information management system, and maintenance/ inventory of supplies and equipment in the Education Department. The RFGH Emergency Room is seeking a full time 36-hour CNA/Tech. (Evening/overnight position, 3-day wks. One 11a-11p shift and three 11p-7a shifts, including every other weekend). Must have the availability to work some holidays.

Nutrition Services Department
RFGH Nutrition Services has one per diem position available. Tray line worker is responsible for accurate patient tray set up in accordance with diet orders. They assemble salads, desserts and beverages and transport completed trays to patient rooms. Must be available to cover all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and absences.
Must have a high school education or GED.
The RFGH Imaging Department has one per diem position available. This position will cover all shifts, vacations, weekends and holidays. ARRT in Radiology and Maine radiology License is required. CT, Bone Density and/or Nuc. Med experience is desirable. An applicant with multi-skill levels and previous experience is preferred.
The RFGH Emergency Department has one 36-hour (Charge Nurse) position available on the 6p-6a shift. This shift includes working every other weekend nights and rotating holidays. Previous charge/leadership experience and 2 years of ED experience is preferred. Must have excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking and customer service skills with innovative ideas. Current ACLS, PALS and IV certification required and ENPC, TNCC, CEN preferred.

Skowhegan Family Medicine, a family practice office, has one full-time day position available. Previous Medical background with experience in Medical Terminology and general office skills. Director of Education
The Director of Education is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of educational programs, and professional development of hospital staff. Responsible for the Hospital’s education programs, systems, and resources in response to the standards of regulatory bodies. The Director of Education provides direct oversight / support to the Medical Staff CME program including accreditation, Somerset Public Health, Diabetes Self - Management Education Program including accreditation, American Heart Association program and Community Health. Directly responsible for Community Health Needs Assessment and serves as RFGH representative for Central District.
Key responsibilities in addition to the above:
• Department Management to include leadership, staff supervision and evaluation; committee membership; policy management; budget management,
• Ongoing assessment of hospital wide education needs
• Develops and / or coordinates staff education programs / competencies to increase skill, knowledge, and competency
• Serves as instructor and / or facilitator
• Evaluates effectiveness of education and professional development
• Active participation in community outreach to include clinical oversight of flu clinics
The Director of Education must have experience in acute healthcare settings and be a graduate of an accredited health science program, nursing preferred. The Director must also have experience in management and have preparation and experience in the practice of adult Education.
The RFGH Respiratory Therapy team has one 36-hour position available plus two per diem positions. The per diem positions will cover all shifts, vacations, weekends and holidays. State of Maine Respiratory Therapy License and RRT required. Must be BLS, ACLS & PALS and NRP certified- or to obtain certification with in an allotted amount of time. One to two years of experience with blood gas skills and Certification in PFTs and/or sleep also a plus. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

This nurse would also work in the clinic assisting with industry injury management. The nurse is expected to participate in committees and initiatives revolving around safety, patient handling, wellness, and worksite health.
