Phlebotomist/EKG Technician
Laboratory Department
The Laboratory Department has one immediate opening for a Phlebotomist/EKG technician. This is a per diem position, variable shifts include weekends and holiday rotation coverage as needed. Applicants must be able to perform phlebotomy and EKG testing on patients of all ages – in both inpatient and outpatient settings. An ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.
Community Health Educator
Education Department
The Education Department is seeking one qualified individual with experience in assessment, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of community health education programs and resources. Candidate must be highly motivated and willing to engage our community through health promotion. Must have excellent communication skills, flexibility and strong presentation and public speaking skills. Must have experience facilitating groups with varying age groups. Must be experienced in developing clear goals and objectives, reporting techniques and documenting measurable outcomes. Must have experience in budget management. Must be self-directed and organized. Must hold a valid driver’s license. Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health Education. This position is full time/40 hours per week.
Certified Nursing Assistant
Medical Surgical Department
The RFGH Medical Surgical Department has one 36-hour position available on the night shift. Applicant is expected to work every other weekend and some holiday coverage. Per Diem positions also available to work all shifts. Certification from an approved Nurses Aid Program, State of Maine CNA registry and BLS are required. The successful applicant must be qualified by education, background, and experience for the responsibility of the position. Clinical experience in hospital is preferred.
Unit Coordinator
Medical Surgical Department
The RFGH Medical Surgical Department has one per diem Unit Coordinator who can work all shifts. Must have medical terminology or willing to take a class. Secretarial/medical background is preferred and basic computer skills are required. The successful applicant must be highly organized, be able to work in a chaotic atmosphere, be able to work independently or with a team, and have great interpersonal skills.
Aquatic Aide
Rehab & Fitness Services
RFGH Rehab & Fitness Services is looking for a full-time Aquatic Aide for providing lifeguard and front desk / guest check-in assistance; 32 hours per week, Mon-Friday. Candidates must be lifeguard certified. WSI certification preferred, but will provide such training as needed to the qualified candidate. Excellent customer service skills; basic computer skills; and comfort in working in warm, humid environment are essential.
Tray Line/Utility Worker
Nutrition Services Department
The RFGH Nutrition Services Department has one per diem utility/tray line worker position available to cover both shifts including weekends, holidays, and absences. Must have a high school education or GED. Food Service experience is a plus, but willing to train the right person.
Nursing Student Internships (PAID)
Medical Surgical and Emergency Department
RFGH is hiring six summer nursing student interns for a hybrid CNA and nursing internship program (May 27 to Aug. 11). Three student interns will work on the Medical-Surgical Unit and three will work in the Emergency Department. These positions will be 24-40 hours per week depending on applicant preference, but will work variable shifts. Applicants MUST have finished first year in a two year nursing program or finished 2 years in a 4 year nursing program. Successful candidates will work as CNAs on these units for at least 16 hours/week and will shadow in a variety of nursing departments for the remainder of the week. MUST be registered with the State CNA Registry and hold a current BLS Certification. Shall be qualified by education, background, and experience for the responsibility of the position. Clinical experience in a hospital is preferred.
Housekeeper
Environmental Services Department
The RFGH EVS Department has two per diem positions available covering all shifts. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. The housekeeper will be responsible for keeping assigned areas clean, sanitary, and aseptic by scouring, above shoulder dusting, mopping, using germicides and wet dusting. Cleans patient rooms, public areas, clinical and office areas. Removes solid, bio-hazardous and recyclable waste. Performs other related housekeeping duties such as wall washing, dusting air vents, ceiling light fixtures and glass cleaning. Keeps work station and equipment neat and clean. Works independently with supervision. Housekeepers must have a high school education or equivalent. Experience in institutional housekeeping is desirable but willing to train the right person.
Certified Medical Assistant

Redington Medical Primary Care has a full time CMA Float 40-hour day position available. This position will be M – F, generally 8 am – 4:30 pm with flexibility to work occasional overtime when needed. Associate Degree in Medical Assistant preferred and Medical Assistant Certification required. Must be able to multitask, have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Previous experience with EMR is preferred.

The RFGH Emergency Department has one position available. This is a 36-hour (Charge capable) position available on the 6p-6a shift. Working every other weekend, nights and rotating holidays. 2 years ED experience and previous charge/leadership experience is preferred. Must have current ACLS, PALS and IV certification. ENPC, TNCC, and CEN is preferred. Must have excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking and customer service skills with innovative ideas.
