Information Technology Department
The RFGH IT Department has a full time/40 hour per week IT Specialist position available. Responsibilities include daily support of all end user technology, working with problem tickets and when needed, escalation to the appropriate internal and/or external parties. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills and be experienced in supporting end users in person, by email, remotely and by phone. Must have knowledge of basic networking and be able to provides assistance for employees with software and hardware (printers, scanners, PCs, mobile devices) issues. Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Office is required. Willingness to learn is vital. Teamwork is critical as well as willingness to assist with projects outside of assigned responsibilities. Must have the ability to work with Active Directory, Networking, VMWare, Citrix and other System Admin roles and functions. This position includes on-call rotation (a minimum of one day a week M-TH every 3 weeks and one weekend F-Sun every 12 weeks). While not required, certifications (such as MCSA, CompTIA, CCENT) are desired. There will be an opportunity to obtain IT training and certifications. This position includes tuition reimbursement/loan forgiveness and competitive pay. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required with all previous education and experience taken into account. Must be willing to work occasional overtime as required to meet the needs of the department.
The RFGH Laboratory has an immediate opening for 32 hr./wk. evening/night variable Medical Technologist. AS/BS degree in Medical Technology or equivalent. MLT/MT ASCP or equivalent and two years’ clinical experience preferred. This is a generalist position covering all departments including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology and phlebotomy. Provides night shift coverage minimum of once per week as well as vacations and other 3rd shift vacancies. This position also includes rotating weekends and holidays.
The RFGH Nursing Admin. Department has two positions per diem available to work all shifts if the need arises, including weekends. Staff needed to do one on one observation of at risk patients. This is a hands off position, you are not expected to do patient care and should report all patient needs to nursing. Health care experience preferred but not necessary. Not responsible for direct care. Works under direction of nursing. Good communication skills needed. Observes and reports changes to the nursing staff.
The Laboratory Department has one immediate opening for a Phlebotomist/EKG technician. This is a part time, 24-hour evening/day position with (3) 8 hours shifts per week which includes weekends and holiday rotation coverage as needed. Applicants must be able to perform phlebotomy and EKG testing on patients of all ages – in both inpatient and outpatient settings. An ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.
Housekeeper/Floor Care Specialist
The RFGH Housekeeping Department has two diem positions available covering all shifts. Must be available to work some weekends and holidays. The housekeeper will be responsible for keeping assigned areas clean, sanitary, and aseptic by scouring, above shoulder dusting, mopping, using germicides and wet dusting. Cleans patient rooms, public areas, clinical and office areas. Removes solid, bio-hazardous and recyclable waste. Performs other related housekeeping duties such as wall washing, dusting air vents, ceiling light fixtures and glass cleaning. Keeps work station and equipment neat and clean. Housekeepers must have a high school education or equivalent. Experience in institutional housekeeping is desirable but willing to train the right person.
The RFGH Pharmacy Department has one 20 hour per week and one per diem position available to cover all shifts, weekends, holidays and vacation coverage. Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, excellent communication, math skills and computer skills. Preference will be given to students enrolled in post-secondary education for Pharmacy and other health care fields.
The RFGH Emergency Department has one open full time position available for a 36-hour (3pm-3am) CNA/ED Coordinator/Tech. This position includes every other weekend and rotating holidays. Previous experience in Medical Record Terminology or Medical background with general office and computer skills is preferred. Applicant must be highly organized, able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Must have the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines. Must be registered with the State CNA Registry and hold a current BLS certification. Behavioral Health experience and clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Rehab & Fitness Services
RFGH Rehab & Fitness Services is seeking a Maine licensed Physical Therapist to join its growing therapy team evaluating and treating patients primarily in our outpatient clinic and within a multidisciplinary team environment. This is a full-time, 40-hour position Mon-Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage for acute care inpatients. Experience in orthopedics, manual therapies or other clinical specialty welcomed, but will consider new grads as well. RFGH Rehab & Fitness Services is looking for a per diem Aquatic Aide for providing lifeguard and front desk / guest check-in assistance; 10-16 hours per week as available and as needed. Candidates must be lifeguard certified and/or willing and able to become certified within 6 months of hire. Excellent customer service skills; basic computer skills; and comfort in working in warm, humid environment are essential. This position offers potential for additional hours and responsibilities in aquatic exercise instruction and swim instruction should the candidate possess such skills and certifications.

Director of Nursing Inpatient Services
This position provides strategic leadership and administration for inpatient nursing services which includes the Medical/Surgical, Special Care (ICU) and Birthing Center department for RFGH. Responsibilities include enhancing patient care, nursing practice, safety and quality of care. Accountable for clinical nursing operations, customer service, patient safety, quality outcomes, financial management and regulatory compliance. The Director of Nursing Inpatient Services reports to the CNO. Qualification for the position include Maine RN license, MSN preferred, 5 years of health care experience and prior management experience. Skills should include excellent communication, change agent, ability to coach and mentor, budget management, strong organizational collaborative approaches and systems thinking. This position is a salaried full time position with 24/7 accountability. Hours are generally Monday through Friday.

Redington Gastroenterology office has a full-time position available. M – F 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. No weekends and no call. Most holidays are off. The applicant must have a Maine RN license, be team-oriented, courteous, compassionate, energetic, and have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Previous charge/leadership experience and 2 years of ED experience is preferred. Must have excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking and customer service skills with innovative ideas. Current ACLS, PALS and IV certification required and ENPC, TNCC, CEN preferred.
The RFGH Birthing Center is looking for a dynamic RN candidate for the care of women and newborn infants. The position is one Per Diem to cover 12-hour day or night shifts. Including weekend shifts, as necessary and cover 1 major holiday per year. Must have exceptional teamwork, communication, critical thinking and customer service skills. Perinatal experience, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, CLC, STABLE, and IV Therapy preferred. RN Maine License and BLS required.
