Registered Nurse
Day Surgery Department
The RFGH Day Surgery Department has one per diem position available to cover all shifts, vacations and holidays. Must have current Maine RN license, excellent critical thinking and communication skills and the ability to multitask. I.V. therapy certification preferred.
Admitting Registrar/Switchboard Operator (Re-Opened)
Admitting Department
The RFGH Admitting Department has one 36-hour position available which will include coverage for (M-W, 11:30am – 7pm), (Thursday, 9am -5pm). Including one 8-hour shift (11pm – 7am) for Friday nights on Switchboard with possible additional coverage. The applicant must be available for all shifts, weekends, holidays, vacation coverage and absences. Previous experience in Medical Record Terminology or Medical background with general office experience and skills is preferred. Must have excellent computer skills, be highly organized, able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills and be able to manage multiple priorities. Previous switchboard experience is preferred. This position also is responsible for the paging system and code blue phone.
Phlebotomist/EKG Technician
Laboratory Department
The Laboratory Department has one 24-hour and one per diem position open to cover all shifts as needed, including weekends, nights and holidays. Applicants must be able to perform phlebotomy and EKG testing on patients of all ages – in both inpatient and outpatient settings. An ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.
Certified Nurse's Assistant
Medical Surgical Department
The RFGH Medical Surgical Department has two per diem and one 36-hour position from 6pm-6am including every other weekend. Must have the availability to work some holidays. Basic computer knowledge and the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines is required. Applicant must be highly organized, able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure with excellent customer service skills Must hold a certification from an approved Nurse’s Aide Program and be registered with the State CNA Registry. Must hold a BLS certification. Clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Medical Assistant
Redington Orthopedic Surgery
Redington Orthopedic Surgery has a full-time day position available. This position will be 32-hours per week, Monday- Thur. generally 8 am – 4:30 pm. Associate Degree in Medical Assistant is preferred and Medical Assistant Certification is required. Medical terminology is required and previous medical office experience is desirable. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required. Must have the ability to multi task in a busy office setting and must have great computer and typing skills.
Aquatic & Fitness Program Coordinator

RFGH Rehab & Fitness Services is looking for a full-time (35-40 hour per week), Aquatic & Fitness Programs Coordinator to lead its community-based pools and fitness facility, staff, and programs. This supervisory position includes direct provision swim lesson and aquatic class instruction as well as lifeguarding. Coordinator reports to and works with Department Director in overall program development; coordination of services with outpatient therapy; marketing and public relations of the aquatic programs; staff scheduling; and policy/procedures for ensuring patron safety and satisfaction. Compensation commensurate with experience; and includes RFGH health plan benefits, generous continuing education and training, and a very supportive work environment. WSI Swim Instructor experience and AEA Certification preferred. Lifeguard certification required.
Medical Secretary

Accounts Resolution Specialist

Data Processing Department has a 40-hour per week position available with full benefits. The Accounts Resolution Specialist is responsible for a number of confidential financial duties including Medical Inpatient/Outpatient Charge data entry, Cash Balancing/ Cash posting reconciliation, reporting for Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger, Electronic Billing and all other related reconciliation and reporting. Applicant must have basic computer knowledge, calculator and bookkeeping skills. Accuracy, speed and integrity are required elements of this job. Calculator accuracy Test will be administered. Some basic understanding of CPT, ICD9, ICD-10 coding, Medical terminology and computer skills are required. Work requires excellent judgment skills to resolve issues related to patient charges, payments, adjustments and accuracy is required. Must have proficiency in Excel spreadsheets. Must be able to manually reconcile large remittances. Some College Education or experience in healthcare billing is a preferred substitution. 2 to 3 years’ experience in a Healthcare data processing environment is required

RFGH EMS Department is seeking to fill three per diem positions for any level. Applicants must hold valid Maine EMS license, CPR, NIMS, PHTLS and AVOC. For paramedic: ACLS, PALS, NALS and PIFT are also required. All applicants must pass a background check and have driving record which meets insurability standards.

Housekeeper
Environmental Services Department
RFGH Environmental Services Department has one full time and one per diem position available covering all shifts. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. The housekeeper will be responsible for keeping assigned areas clean, sanitary, and aseptic by scouring, above shoulder dusting, mopping, using germicides and wet dusting. Cleans patient rooms, public areas, clinical and office areas. Removes solid, bio-hazardous and recyclable waste. Performs other related housekeeping duties such as wall washing, dusting air vents, ceiling light fixtures and glass cleaning. Keeps work station and equipment neat and clean. Works independently with supervision. Housekeepers must have a high school education or equivalent. Experience in hospital housekeeping is desirable but willing to train the right person.

RFGH Rehab & Fitness Services is looking for a per diem Aquatic Aide for providing lifeguard and front desk / guest check-in assistance; 10-16 hours per week as available and as needed. Candidates must be lifeguard certified and/or willing and able to become certified within 6 months of hire. Excellent customer service skills; basic computer skills; and comfort in working in warm, humid environment are essential. This position offers potential for additional hours and responsibilities in aquatic exercise instruction and swim instruction should the candidate possess such skills and certifications.
Certified Pool Operator & Lifeguard

RFGH Rehab & Fitness Services is seeking a full-time Certified Pool Operator & Lifeguard whose primary responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining our two pools; as well as lifeguard and assisting in guest check-ins. Either a current Maine State CPO license or the willingness and aptitude to become trained as a Certified Pool Operator is required along with a WSI/Lifeguard certification. Scheduled work hours may be flexible but will include some late afternoon and early evening times for pool cleaning tasks. Patient Observer
Nursing Department
Nursing Dept. has two per diem positions available to work any shift if the need arises, including weekends. Staff needed to do one on one observation of at risk patients. This is a hands off position, you are not expected to do patient care and should report all patient needs to nursing. Health care experience preferred but not necessary. Not responsible for direct care. Works under direction of nursing. Good communication skills needed. Observes and reports changes to the nursing staff.
