RFGH Opens
New Medical Office Building
In July of 2009, construction was completed on
a new, eco-friendly, three-story, 60,000+ square
foot Medical Office Building (MOB), which is connected
to the hospital at the ground and first floor
levels.
The building, designed by Digiorgio Associates,
Inc. and constructed by Monitor Builders, Inc.
of Boston, Massachusetts, now houses many of the
hospital's outpatient primary and specialty care
services. Practices that have relocated to this
new facility include: Redington Medical Primary
Care, Redington Family Practice, Redington Pediatrics,
Redington Neurology, Redington General Surgery,
Redington OB/GYN, and Redington Orthopedic Surgery.
The construction of the MOB not only improves
accessibility and convenience for our patients,
it also helps RFGH remain competitive in recruiting
new physicians and staff by offering the latest
in facility resources.
Redington-Fairview General Hospital is an independent,
critical access community hospital, located in
Skowhegan, Maine. RFGH has provided quality, comprehensive
health services to the residents of Somerset County
since 1952. A member of the Maine Hospital Association,
RFGH offers community-based primary care, pediatric
care, surgical and specialty services, and 24-hour
emergency medical services.
