Redington-Fairview Hospital's Laboratory outpatient hours are:
6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday-Friday (excluding holidays)
7:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturdays
We are normally closed on Sundays.

A full-service Laboratory in a small community hospital. The Laboratory operates to support the care of all who utilize our facilities on both an emergency and routine basis. Our services include:

• Clinical pathology including blood bank, coagulation hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, serology and chemistry

• Anatomic pathology including histology and cytology

Staffed around the clock by highly qualified professionals, the Laboratory Department is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), most recently receiving accreditation in April 2008.

The Laboratory Department has recently installed an upgraded Biological Safety Cabinet providing greater protection for the hospital environment from contamination by microbiological agents undergoing testing within the Laboratory Department.

Bac Tec 9120 Automated Blood Culture analyzer (state-of-the-art technology in automated blood culture analysis).

Redington-Fairview General Hospital is an independent community hospital located in Skowhegan, Maine. RFGH has provided quality, comprehensive health services to the residents of Somerset County since 1952. A member of the Maine Hospital Association, RFGH offers inpatient and outpatient services in many specialities, has a network of community-based primary care and pediatric physicians, and provides 24-hour emergency medical services.
