The Emergency Department has an opening for a per diem RN to cover all shifts, holidays, absences and vacations. A minimum of 4 years Emergency Nursing with triage experience, current ACLS, PALS, and IV certification. ENPC, TNCC required and CEN preferred. Excellent communication, critical thinking and customer service skills with innovative ideas. Able to support team function and work effectively, efficiently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Medical Surgical Unit
Medical Surgical Unit has one per diem position available for all shifts and weekends. 2-3 years experience in secretarial/medical background and medical terminology is preferred. Applicant must be highly organized and able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Assertiveness and good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
Respiratory Department has a per diem position available to cover all shifts, vacations, weekends and holidays. Must have a State of Maine Respiratory Therapy License. You must also be BLS, ACLS & PALS and NRP certified or to obtain certification within an allotted amount of time. Must have RRT. Competitive wage scale. Prefer one to two years of experience with blood gas skills.
Housekeeping department has one per diem position available. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. May have to fill in for all shifts and in all positions. Experience in healthcare facilities helpful.
Medical/ Surgical Unit
Medical Surgical Unit has one per diem position available to work all shifts. Must be flexible to work different shifts (days, evening, nights) and weekends, holidays to cover vacations and absences. Experienced MS nurse preferred and must hold a current BLS certification.
Let's Go! Program Coordinator
Somerset Public Health
Somerset Public Health has a temporary 28-hr, fixed length grant-funded position without benefits for six months. Seeking qualified individual to lead our Let's Go! Somerset obesity prevention program. Successful candidate must have the ability to work within a team and individually to collaborate with schools, child care facilities, after school programs, health care, work sites, and communities to improve physical activity and nutrition policies and environments. Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Community Health, Public Health or related field. Master of Public of Community Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification preferred. At least three years of experience in successful community health project management implementing education, environment and policy change strategies preferred. Experience working with non-profit, government and/or private foundation grants preferred. Basic knowledge of healthcare with previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Health Record Services
Health Record Services has a full time 40 hours per week, day position available. Candidates should be AHIMA credentialed and RHIT or RHIA is required. 5 years experience utilizing ICD-9-CM and APT and 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred. AHIMA ICD 10 approved trainer designation is also preferred. Knowledgeable with third party payment systems and 3M coding software as well as knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Must be well organized and excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Human Resource Director
The Director will manage all Human Resource function in accordance with the Mission, Vision & Values of Redington-Fairview General Hospital. Responsibilities shall include planning, developing, coordinating and administering personnel policies, compensation/benefit programs and recognition programs; recruitment, selection, and retention of personnel; The HR Director supervises the payroll, insurance functions, employee health and volunteer services and acts as a liaison between employees and management of staff. Must be highly organized and able to perform effectively under pressure. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all disciplines and mediate personnel grievances/disputes if necessary. Must also have knowledge of compliance regarding State and Federal laws which impact employer/employee relations. Must have knowledge of compensation and benefits; how to conduct wage and benefit surveys to enable a competitive market edge for wages, salaries, and benefits; and the ability to analyze human resource data for critical indicators. Must have a BS degree in Human Resources of 5-7 years equivalent experience. Experience in Health Care is preferred. PHR/SPHR certification required within one year of employment.
Community Health Educator

Somerset Public Health has a 30 hour, grant funded position with benefits - seeking qualified individual to lead, guide and facilitate policy and environmental changes for lead poison prevention, rural active living assessment and improvement with municipalities and promotion of work site wellness with local businesses. Work will include but is not limited too: Designing and carrying out Maine CDC approved work plans, working with State/District Healthy Maine Partnership Program Directors to receive training and give progress reports. Creating and presenting professional reports of project outcomes following SPH and Maine CDC guidelines for submission as proof of work completed. The successful candidate must be comfortable interacting with community organizations, community programs, work sites, state government officials and other health care professionals. Candidate must be self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and as a team. Knowledge of best practices for lead poison prevention policy and environmental change, work site wellness and Rural Active Living Assessment process is preferred. This work will be done in partnership with the SPH Assistant Project Director and SPH staff, with direct supervision of the SPH Project Director. A minimum 4 year degree in Community Health or Masters in Public Health is preferred. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in working with Municipalities, child care organizations, work sites, landlords and families. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have experience in doing Policy and Environmental Health change as well as a valid Maine driver's license. You should have excellent computer skills and knowledge/familiarity with Somerset and Kennebec Counties. One year experience is preferred.
RN, Charge nurse
The Emergency Department has one 36-hour position available for a dedicated charge nurse on the 6am to 6pm shift. Minimum of 4 years ED experience with charge and triage required. Current ACLS, PALS, and IV certification. ENPC, TNCC, CEN is preferred. Excellent communication, critical thinking and customer service skills with innovative ideas. Must be able to support team function and work effectively, efficiently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Certified Nursing Assistant
Medical Surgical Unit
Medical Surgical Unit has one 32-hour position available, every other weekend. (4-8hr shifts on the 2p-10p) Per diem positions available and must be flexible between shifts, will need to work some weekends and holidays. Certification from an approved Nurses Aid Program. Must also be registered with the Stat CNA Registry. Certification in BLS is required. Shall be qualified by education, background and experience for the responsibility of the position. Clinical experience in hospital is preferred.
