Staff Pharmacist
Pharmacy Department
The Pharmacy Department has a 22 hour week (2 days a week) position available, days only. . Must be able to work one in three weekends. We provide progressive pharmacy services to this 25-bed Critical Access Hospital from our location on the Medical/Surgical floor. These services include: antibiotic stewardship, anticoagulation and VTE prophylaxis management, patient education, renal dose adjustment, kinetic dosing services, clinical drug protocol development and maintenance, drug information, immunization screening and ordering, oncology support, and pulmonary and cardiac rehab support. We are a valued part of the health care team and have achieved an open and cooperative relationship with the medical staff and nursing staff. The focus for all of us is quality of patient care.
Special Care Unit
SCU has one per diem position available to cover all shifts, holidays, absences, and vacations. ACLS, PALS, IV certification, moderate sedation certification required.
Emergency Department
The Emergency Department has an opening for a per diem RN to cover all shifts, holidays, absences and vacations. A minimum of 4 years Emergency Nursing with triage experience, current ACLS, PALS, and IV certification. ENPC, TNCC required and CEN preferred. Excellent communication, critical thinking and customer service skills with innovative ideas. Able to support team function and work effectively, efficiently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Ultrasonography Technologist
Imaging Department
Imaging Department has one per diem position available in Ultrasound. This position requires some flexibility to cover the needs of the department/schedule and willingness to share in one weekend a month of call. Registered by RDMS is preferred or hold a current ARRT, Maine State Licensure and have prior Ultrasound experience.
The Endoscopy Department has a 32-hour position available. ACLS, IV Sedation certification is required. Endoscopy and Charge Nurse experience preferred. Must participate in call schedule for evening, weekends and holidays.
IV Team
The IV Team has on per diem position available. The applicants must be available for all shifts, weekends, holidays and vacation coverage. They are 12 hour shifts. You must have one year experience as an RN and also much have IV experience. CRNI preferred and must have current BLS.
Unit Coordinator
Medical Surgical Unit
Medical Surgical Unit has one per diem position available for all shifts and weekends. 2-3 years experience in secretarial/medical background and medical terminology is preferred. Applicant must be highly organized and able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure. Assertiveness and good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
Medical Social Worker
Social Services
Social Services is looking for a full time Medical Social Worker. The Medical Social Worker assesses patients of all ages potentially at high risk for social, emotional, mental/behavioral, and medical complications and assists them in exploring choices available to them with the goal being to reach an optimum level of independent functioning through the acceptance/modification of their social, emotional/behavioral and medical status. Responsible for psychosocial assessments for patients of all ages in all areas of the hospital. They will assist with the discharge planning. Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must also be a team player interacting with community facilities and agencies as well as disciplines in a fast-paced critical access hospital. Experience in medical social work is preferred and knowledge of community resources is helpful. L.S.W. licensure needed through the State of Maine.
Emergency Department/Clinic
This is a 32 hour per week position and the applicant must be available for all shifts, every other weekend and rotating holidays. Experience in medical terminology and/or medical background with general office experience and skills. Must have basic computer knowledge. You also must be highly organized, able to work independently, perform effectively under pressure and you must also have good telephone techniques. You also must have the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines.
