Plant Operations has a clerical assistant position working 32.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Applicant must be a high school graduate, be highly organized, able to work independently, perform effectively under pressure, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Assertiveness and good interpersonal communication skills are essential. Must have experience with computer applications - preferably Microsoft Professional. Experience with ordering, maintaining logs, schedules, and database management is required. Experience in clerical/secretarial duties, courses in typing or keyboarding and business English are preferred.
The Emergency Department has one 32-hour per week float position available. Applicant must be available for all shifts, weekends, holidays, vacation coverage, and absences. Requires experience in medical terminology and/or medical background with general office experience and skills and basic computer knowledge. Candidate must be highly organized, able to work independently and able to perform effectively under pressure. Candidate should have good telephone technique and the ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines.
Imaging Department has one per diem position available in Ultrasound.This position requires some flexibility to cover the needs of the department/schedule and willingness to share in one weekend a month of call. Registered by RDMS is preferred or hold a current ARRT, Maine State Licensure and have prior Ultrasound experience.
The Pharmacy Department has a one-day per week position available, 10-12 hours, days only. Must be able to work one in three weekends. We provide progressive pharmacy services to this 25-bed Critical Access Hospital from our location on the Medical/Surgical floor. These services include: antibiotic stewardship, anticoagulation and VTE prophylaxis management, patient education, renal dose adjustment, kinetic dosing services, clinical drug protocol development and maintenance, drug information, immunization screening and ordering, oncology support, and pulmonary and cardiac rehab support. We are a valued part of the health care team and have achieved an open and cooperative relationship with the medical staff and nursing staff. The focus for all of us is quality of patient care.
The Emergency Room has an opening for a per diem RN to cover all shifts, holidays, absences, and vacations. A minimum of 4 years Emergency Nursing with triage experience is required. Current ACLS, PALS and IV certification is required. ENPC, TNCC required and CEN preferred. Applicant should have excellent communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills with innovative ideas. Candidate should be able to support team function and work effectively, efficiently, and collaboratively within a team environment.
Endoscopy/Special Procedures, Nursing Dept.
The nursing department has one 8-hour position, also per diem hours are available. The applicant must be able to cover for absences, vacations and fill in when needed. Recent acute care experience required. Prior Endoscopy experience preferred. ACLS; IV and conscious sedation certifications required.
Hospital Case Management
Case Management has one 24-hour a week plus PRN coverage position. On call is a requirement (on average one weekend in every 6 weeks including one day a week). RN, plus 3 to 5 years of acute hospital experience and preferably one year in an infection control and case management or utilization review experience. Excellent communication skills and customer service oriented, phone and decision making skills. Knowledge of State, Federal and Insurance regulations and utilization review criteria. Computer Skills. Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team. Must be a team player, flexible, highly organized , ability to multi task in an ever changing environment.
