Birthing Center
Per Diem staff nurse position available. Candidates must: • Be an RN licensed in the State of Maine • Have current Labor and Delivery, Postpartum and Newborn care competencies • Be current in BCLS, NRP and IV competencies • Cover 12 hour day or night shifts, including weekend shifts, as necessary • Cover 1 major holiday per year • Have excellent clinical skills and critical thinking skills Have exceptional customer service and communication skills
Laboratory Supervisor Position (LS)
RFGH is seeking a qualified MT or MLT for the laboratory supervisor position, full-time (M-F) 40 hours/week. Interested candidates should possess a bachelor's degree with strong clinical chemistry background. Supervisory or management experience is strongly encouraged. This candidate will provide oversight of clinical chemistry and day to day operation for a busy clinical laboratory and outpatient phlebotomy department. Responsibilities include: scheduling, evaluations, personnel management, competency assessment, policy and procedure maintenance, ordering and inventory, safety, quality assurance, attendance at department level meetings, charge master maintenance, laboratory incident follow up, and payroll maintenance.
Unit Coordinator
Medical Surgical
Medical/Surgical Unit has one per diem position available with ability to work all shifts. High school plus 2-3 years post-secondary education or 2-3 years’ experience in a secretarial/medical background required • Medical terminology preferred • Applicant must be highly organized, able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure Assertiveness and good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
Endoscopy/Special Procedures
Nursing Dept. has a per diem position available. The applicant must be able to cover for absences, vacations and fill in when needed. Recent acute care experience required and prior Endoscopy experience preferred. ACLS; IV and moderate sedation certifications required.
Certified Nursing Assistant - CAP's Program
Medical Surgical
Medical Surgical Unit has one summer position available for the C.N.A. CAP’s Program. This is 24-hours a week position and applicants must have finished first semester in a two year program or finished 2 years in a 4 year program. Must be registered with the State CNA registry and certified in BLS required. Shall be qualified by education, background, and experience for the responsibility of the position. Clinical experience in hospital preferred.
Housekeeping Department
Housekeeping Department has one per diem position available. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. May have to fill in for all shifts and in all positions. Experience in healthcare facilities helpful.
Distribution Clerk
Materials Management
Materials Management has one 24-hour per week position to work days and occasional holidays. This position will provide coverage for both distribution and receiving and also assist with the daily duties, filling orders, delivering supplies, warehouse and copy center. Applicant must have excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to perform strenuous tasks for extended periods of time.
Medical Social Worker
Social Services
Social Services is looking for a full-time medical social worker. The Medical Social Worker assesses patients of all ages potentially at high risk for social, emotional, mental/behavioral, and medical complications and assists them in exploring choices available to them, the goal being to reach an optimum level of independent functioning through the acceptance/modification of their social, emotional/behavioral, and medical status. • Responsible for psychosocial assessments for patients of all ages in all areas of the hospital • LSW license is required • Assists with discharge planning • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills • A team player interacting with community facilities and agencies as well as disciplines in a fast-paced critical access hospital • Knowledge of community resources helpful • Experience in medical social work preferred
Emergency Department
Emergency Department has three registrar positions available. One 32-hour per week variable hours, one 32-hours per week evening shift and every other weekend with rotating holidays for both positions. The third position is per diem and the applicant must be available to cover day, evening and night shifts, with some vacations and holidays. Experience in medical terminology and/or medical background with general office experience and skills. • Basic computer knowledge • Highly organized, able to work independently, perform effectively under pressure, and good telephone techniques Ability to interact professionally with multiple age groups and disciplines.
Patient Observer
Nursing Department
Nursing Dept. has three per diem positions available primarily nights but may need to fill in on other shifts as needed & weekends. Staff needed to do one on one observation of at risk patients. Health care experience preferred. Not responsible for direct care and works under direction of nursing. Good communication skills needed and the observes report changes to nursing staff.
Redington Medical Primary Care
RMPC-Endocrinology/Urology has a full time RN position available. This position is M-F, generally 8am -4:30pm and may require occasional overtime as necessary. Flexibility required with ability to work within varied office settings. • Current RN license • Demonstrates ability to work as a team within a very busy office setting • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and organizational skills • Prior medical office experience is required • Must be able to multi task and have computer and typing skills • Care management, Endocrinology and/ or Urology experience is preferred • Only qualified applicants will be considered
